Grip Breakthrough

Man, I've had a bad grip for quite some time and finally had a revelation today at the range. Wondering why I'm getting the driver to go straight but not very high and the occasional hook? So I let the club sit naturally on the ground and take what feels like a very weak grip to me. Holy smokes. Higher and dead up the middle every single time. So I try it with the irons... my 6iron is flying just as long but almost twice as high. I finished off by hitting the little mound adjacent to the 200marker 6times in a row with the 6. Every shot would have been a putt inside 10ft.

I don't even want to play. I want to groove that Hogan move in the video that was posted while staying connected with a headcover under my left armpit. This combined with the grip for about 5000 swings before I even play again.

Sweet, awesome on the improved swinging.

If you take a big break like that off though, you are going to come back finding that while the foundation is good, the refinement will keep your score high.

That's golf man. Figure out what you're doing wrong then add a new flaw. I went from a slice to hook in like 72hrs.

Hahaha. Ezra is like the rest of us, we buy clubs, we fix problems, and we create new ones. He just does it in a very condensed period of time.

No new clubs. I added a 58* Vokey, which I love but no replacing anything. I may actually play this bag for the year. Everything works great when I put a good swing on it.

I don't know about that one but I'll not be selling anything to replace it. I am itching to try a BurnerTP.

I think that was me for the first 5 years of my golf career up until last year. Then towards the end of last year I finally figured out that I will likely never figure it out. So since course management is the only thing I can truly figure out, I realize I usually just kind of play "hide and go seek" with the golf ball while hitting into unspeakable lies, I realize if I can win the majority of the battles while chasing the golf ball around the course, I will likely score well. While playing with guys that are like 80 years old that keep the ball in the fairway, rarely lose a golf ball, and therefore would score about as good as I do, I came to the conclusion that if when I swing the club it feels like how I would imagine an 80 year old swings in not wanting to break every bone and tear every muscle in the body in the process of hitting the ball, maybe I wouldn't lose as many golf balls as they usually do not leave my site and even though the 80 year old commonly has to ask me where their ball went, I usually have no trouble picking it out. Amazing how well that has worked for me over the last year. In the process I also realize that although I may lose 10-20 yards, the majority of the time it does not hit tree's, houses and scare the animals on the course hiding out in the woods when they see me coming, so on average my distance is likely more.

Do you know the difference between a BMW and a porcupine? The porcupine has its' pricks on the outside.

Wow. The scary part is that I almost understood that.
