Phil drops Hybrid for 2 iron.

Why? and which lie would you use each for?

Did he drop it for when hes playing over here because if he did then the answer is obvious. 2 iron keeps the ball out of the wind.

2 Iron is generally preferable for me. Better out of the rough, lower ballflight.

The only conceivable situation I'd use a hybrid is putting from the rough just off the green. Even then, my 3 iron works fine in that situation. I don't have a 2 iron - my club set doesn't have them, but you can me damn sure I'd have them if I could - but my 3 iron is better out of every lie. Especially rough - the leading edge will cut through the rough leading to better contact than the more rounded hybrid.

LOL, Cobra 3100's are hybrids.

Sorry but reading your post I thought you'd be playing Mizuno Blades or something but then I saw your setup in your Sig.

Glad to see you like your long irons though , I use my 3 & 4 iron and hit them well but when the balls sat down in the semi or rough then they are use less in my hands .
