I will buy those irons off you for $30 including shipping
The fact that you bothered to create a thread suggests your to sensible to give up, just think of happier times on the golf course.

Don't sweat it too much man. We all have those days with this game. Even pro's blow up and shoot 15 over... which is like you shooting about 150 in perspective. Hope it wasn't that bad, lol.

I had a bad day yesterday myself and it's a learning process. I need to go back and practice the way I did when I shot well. That means no more senseless blasting of drivers and 177yd. 7irons off a range mat. I need to just take my wedges to the grass and work on 3/4 swings and tempo. I take the bad and get rid of it from that round. I take a few shots away and put them to memory. Not the 90yd. hook with my 3w... A 58* I hit from 50-60yds. to inches, never went more than 15ft. off the ground. I think some pro's would want to know how that shot is hit. Then the 7iron high cut I hit to finish with a GIR and a par after a horrid tee shot yanked way left.

Let us know if we can help at all. Think back to the positives and what you can do to make those happen more often. Always remember, it's a game and will always just be that. I'm not quitting my day job till I can shoot 62 off the tips 20 times in a row and that just ain't happening in this lifetime. Enjoy it for what it is, a game, a sport, a personal challenge and now for you and I ... a vendetta.

Yeah, I've felt that way plenty.

Just shrug it off, chalk it up, and get back to the wheel man. It sucks, but good things go to those who work their ass off.

On the bad days I'll slow my swin way down..get the timing back, that by far is the biggest problem I have too solve.

I'll go too the range and do some chipping easy stuff to get my groove back. If nothing else there is always the classifieds.

Reminds me of the story about the guy who got so pissed off that he threw his clubs in a lake on the 14th hole, walked back to his car, and realized that he'd left his keys in the bag. So he walked back, got the keys, and threw the bag back in the lake.

I've golfed 40 years and this year has been a disaster (until this weekend). But if you keep at it and beat it and get your game back you'll have learned a whole lot more about your swing and how to fix it. If golf wasn't challenging and anyone could pick up a club and shoot par nobody would play it. Just step back and start going through your swing step by step. When you get it right, record it! Every little thing that works and doesn't work. It's made fixing my problems much easier because I can eventually find what I'm doing wrong. It's just a small glitch in your stellar golf carreer!!

Everyone can hack and hack away their entire lives.

I think we all just have to realize - and concede - that we will [i]never[/b] beat the ball. That little ball is out to make you mad, and you will never conquer it, no matter how hard you try. When you realize that you will have that much more fun.

I can attest that one bad afternoon on the course is all that it takes to make your swing just totally disappear, and it may take months for it to come back.

Sometimes, it's just trying to hit the ball too friggin hard. Other times it's forgetting that this is a game of opposites. How many times have you seen people trying to help the ball up into the air?

So if you are having a bad day, stop, take a few deep breaths, and concentrate on a few simple fundamentals: keep left arm straight, hit down on ball, and rythym.
