I feel sad:(

Well, went out today, was all good to go as im starting to get my game back together again... Well the game back together again part is now back on hold, lol, went out in +7, not hitting a single green and hitting every fw, and then the part that baffled me the most. ABSOLUTELY NO distance whatsoever, my longest drive was about 270, didnt miss the sweet spot once at all, every drive I hit was pured (not even kidding about that either!), I had ZERO distance today, the harder I swung the shorter the ball went too (everything went straight, at one point I clubbed up 3 clubs and still came up short with a 5 iron from 160!)

It was just retarded, hitting every fw, im used to being short of my friend because he'll hosel a drive and still outdrive me by a few, but im usually within 15 yards np when im puring it, but didnt touch within 30 of him today, and then my iron shots were total shit, and even if I hit a good one it'd come 10-20 yards short! Just absolutely retarded day all in all.

I have no clue really, my tempo and overall swing felt really good, I was striking the ball off the tee about as well as i have all year, inside of 100 yards i never took more than 3 shots (got up and down 17 times today, unfortunately half them were for bogies), only problem was that I hit more than half my possible approach shots into hazards and had to drop out or chip out...

Thank god im seeing my coach tomorrow, if something happens and he isnt there tomorrow im guna have to rethink going back to lacrosse

Ahhh.... thats my rant for today Comment and laugh as you will. Or if you have any ideas of maybe having absolutely NO distance whatsoever plz share as not even being able to hit my 9 iron from 130 is depressing since I was hitting it 155-160 not even 3 days prior...

Oh that's easy to remedy.
Just remember that some people have it worse =D
I'll help you out.

If I drive one 240 I am jumping for joy, no joke. If I hit it 260, then it must've been a downhill hole. I only hit a 160 nine iron if it's cart path aided =D. And I'm actually happy if I hit a green side chip and two putt it. and like I said in the other post. I'm extremely happy with a 90 score...

Hope that helps..

now I feel sad....
someone cheer me up

Highs and lows Dude. Maybe not using your lower body, that can be a SS killer! Feels like you are cranking it up top, but lower body not in sync (even slightly) can cost major yardage! At least it was going straight!

Your pro should pick up on little things quickly.

Yea, well tbh ive never really used my lower body at all, all my power has come from my shoulders and arms as when i turn my lower body then my head turns a bit and i lose sight of the ball (bridge of my nose blocks it as I cant see from my left eye)...

But ive always been able to hit it long enough with my upper body, but now its gone..... But Kevin (coach), will hopefully set me straight tomorrow.

Welcome to the world of mere mortals, where a 270 yard drive is considered well above average, and a 9 iron is used for 130-140 yard shots.

If I see one more post in the "Hackers Anonymous" section (note the word HACKER in there!!!???!!!) from a low-capper crying the blues about his "disappointing" 270 yard drives, I'm gonna PUKE!

Quit your bitchin'

I have very little sympathy for a 1.1 handicap having a bad day. Try playing with my game where it is a struggle to try to break 100 every time out and then see how sad you are.

Argh. Another single-digit capper complaining about how bad his game is when he goes out in +7. If I go out in +7, it's an average day for me, and I expect to do about that. Quit yer' whining.

Welcome back to the club where the rest of us belong. I can only hit a 9 iron about 135, 140 on a good day. 5 iron, 180 or so.

Maybe you're suffering from the same problem I had - hitting clubs on the toe, but only slightly. Contact will still feel good, but you'll lose 30 yards, easily.

Lol.... Usually my miss lately is a huge toe hook that goes nowhere I missed the face a couple times last week and whenever my timing is off I usually just catch the toe of the club, doesnt even hit the grooves its so far off the toe

Hehe, dont worry, coach will have me hitting 160 yard 9 irons again in no time, otherwise im guna have to consider WD from my tourney next week, no point in wasting 150$ if i dont have a chance, better to pull off and put that to lessons if it aint working.

I have 2 2nds, 2 3rds, and 1 also-ran.

Anything other than winning is like the Vice-Presidency: not worth a pitcher of warm spit.

Don't feel too bad. Dick Cheney, our beloved Vice-Dictator, got his "W" (as in George), even though he finished 2nd...

I'd kinda doubt you are puring the ball if the difference was that drastic. How was the ball flight? I only hit my good drives 270 but 130 with a 9iron? I could do that with one hand on the club.

yeah, while the other hand was playing pocket pool.

I daresay, more golfers hit their 9 irons 130-140 than do 150+.
