Glory Hallelujah!

I don't know if it's coincidence or what, but today was the first time I've felt that Friday's good swing on the driving range was the same swing on the course on Sunday.

I kept telling myself one thing: "Same swing all day." And for the most part I was hitting smooth, solid, straight irons all day. Driver was solid (9 of 14), I hit more GIR (7), had more pars (7), and chipped better than I have in a long, long time. Had a few good putts that didn't fall for par or birdie.

Today I felt the swing I've been trying to feel, and it felt damned good.

Congrats on finding your swing. I just found mine about three weeks ago, and I've already broken 80 2 times. Feels so good to swing well again.

That's excellent. I'm cautiously optimistic that I'll have many low 80's rounds coming up in the future.

Good for you, Eracer! It is a great feeling on those rare occasions you are able to bring ranger rick on to the course.

Atta Boy!!!

Keep it going!!

Played with 3 young guys on the front nine today and SMOKED them! Then I got HOT on the back nine playing with guys from work starting bogey, par, birdie, par. Even after four holes! Had the dangest luck after that. Landed one on the 200 yard par 3 only to have it roll off the side of the elevated green. Then landed two on the cart path that if they would have bounced straight no problems. They both bounced right into the trouble so ended up with a 41 on the back but I'm playing lights out lately too. Hit the G2 driver great too (much longer then the Sumo2 if I can make it work).... And it was 60º F, sunny and beautiful. Just a great day of golf. Oh yeah, played 18 holes in just over 3 hours.

It's been great seeing you post the scores you've been shooting so far this early in the year. 41 for 9 holes (which I think I've seen twice this year already?) is just excellent.

You've been an inspiration. Let's both break personal records this year!

It's been a slow start for me... lots of bogey golf, I went 44-41 today, and putted very well, or else it could have been real ugly.

The 41 showed some real signs of coming to life, league starts on Thurs, hoping to fire at flags and make some birdies

I have a better start then last year, but I'm still somewhere between bogey and double.

Its just fun to get out.

Yesterday's round: 46 front and 39 back.

I 3 putted every green on the front but one.

Sheesh.

It didn't help that the greens looked they had not been cut in a week. How can "nice" golf clubs not cut the greens every day, still charge you full rates, and be able to sleep at night?

Now I know where all my good karma went Friday...I played like total crap. Tied my buddy on the front (we both stunk), got beat by 7 on the back!

Lessons will start soon...maybe tomorrow if I can set it up.
