I had the opportunity to head to the course today after a short day. I pull in, and get the clubs out. Sugar, I forgot my putter!
I go in and pay for my round, and ask if they have any putter demos. They didn't, but they said I could just borrow one from a rental set. Good enough. The guy goes in back, and comes back out with the longest short putter I've ever seen. Its at least 36 inches long. It also happens to be a becu Ping Zing. Hmmm, guess I'll just choke up a little. Its still better than putting with a hybrid. I go out and play 18. What happened?
I shot a 74, with 30 putts! I three putted once, on the second green. Once I choked up about 3 inches, and got used to the weight, it was just lights out. I felt like I had a chance every time I was inside 25 feet, and I burned some edges from that distance. I don't know, I might need to invest in one of these!
