I can tell me and you playing a round together would be a game of grip it and rip it, seeing who could out do the other. My game has been sucking big time but the one thing making it still fun is the fact I can unleash a monster drive or 3 wood every so often. When my driver went south a while back I learned how to hit these screaming 3 woods. I can keep it low and long and they roll for days. The last tournament I played in I missed the long drive by 10 yards,(270ish), with my 3 wood. To bad that was the highlight of the entire round for me, lol.

Which has its benefits, for sure. But my low round yesterday was using a 4 iron more than a driver off the tee, and I didn't miss a fairway with the 4.

Calculated risk on some holes, safe on others.

I love that 17th. I played there last Sunday and a buddy of mine nearly got on with a 5w from the whites with a fade! I couldn't believe we found the ball 6' short of the green. I thought it was gone for sure. I always just poke a hybrid out there for the SW in. Those greens kill me. I went 94 there with 6 three puts and a sweet 9 on #12.

I'm playing Beaver River tomorrow. It's kind of annoyingly short, but it's tricky so I find it fun to play a couple times a year.
