Bombed

I played at Triggs today and hit the longest drive of my life. Hole is flat then uphill to a plateau then flat again. Hit a high draw. I've been messing with a "long drive" setup at the range, ball way forward, preset weight and a wrist hinge in the opposite direction at adress. Anyway, hole listed at 496, 155-157 in. At first I though my ball was the layup shot one of the guys I was playing with was. I saw the two balls and when I looked the first and saw "NXT", I was laughing a little and said "holy cripes". I missed a bit left with a high cut 7iron, should have hit an 8 but wanted to fly it on the back, plus the lie was uphill. Chipped to 5ft. and missed the putt short, I suck. Tried that setup twice more and hit big high hooks. Oh well. So I guess I'll have this worthless superswing in resevre somewhere.

The last par 5 on the back, after the short par 3. I took it over the treeline on the right with a massive draw. Dead center less than 10yds. behind the 150 marker. I hit a bomb there once with the BurnerTP but still had like 180 in. This one was ridiculous. I just can't really use that swing because I'll hook the crap out of it if my timing is off. It promotes more lag and a big lower body drive to get back to the ball. I'll try one tomorrow. I tried it at Fenner on #10 the other day and hooked it a bit off the toe.
