have you ever broke a club over your knee?

I have......sometimes I let my temper get the best of me...I know, I know,...stupid..but it happens. Afterwards, I feel like a idiot. I have been playing real well lately, but really sucked it up sunday and got pissed. Anyone have a 5 iron I can use

I havent personally, but i did watch a guy wrap an iron around a tree once...and then on the next tee box i found a driver in the garbage can(burner) with a broken stock shaft but when i pulled it out whoever threw it away had bashed the head of the driver on something hard and dented/cracked the shit out of it...i dont know if it was the same guy or not...

I took my SW over my knee and tossed it into a lake back in college... had 3 balls in a row land on the front of the green & pull back down the hill almost back to where I was standing... then bam my club was done.

Not over my knee... but I threw an 8-iron once and it landed funny and snapped the shaft. I felt like a horses ass after and haven't thrown a club since.

I broke an old 5 iron over my knee, just to see if I could do it.

It was actually pretty easy.

I got my first putter from my uncle who 4 putted for bogey and wrapped it around the cart. It fit me perfectly back when I was 6. I have thrown a club or two over the years, but not in recent memory.

From time to time when I hit a bad shot I will just drop it on the follow through.

i had a few at the course and turned around and threw my putter. accidentally hit a tree and bent. i was also really frustrated about the funk i've been in lately and almost lost an 8i in the creek.

Next time anyone feels the need to break a club, just punch yourself in the nose real hard. It's not the club's fault, and I guarantee you that you will learn to control your temper after you've broken your nose once or twice...

Plus, it looks way cooler to your playing partners than a wimpy club snap.

That's about all that I will do, and even after I do that I still feel like crap about it. I am usually very good about kepping emotions like that contained. There is just something about this game that brings out the worst (or best on occasion) of people.

I didnt break it because I thought I was "cool".....just played like crap all day, and my emotions got the best of me. I felt like a idiot 5 minutes later. My buddies had a good laugh at my expense. When I first started to play, I lost my temper alot. I have'nt done anything stupid in a long time. I have been playing real well lately, and couldnt believe how bad I was hitting it. I dont want to punch myself in the face, that might cost me a modeling job.

I would want you to hurt yourself. Oh wait - you're a Bears fan.

Never mind. Punch away!

(Yes, I'm a cheesehead...)
