video of my drive

i posted a video of my drive in my "now on the tee" introduction. but, i figured a lot of people probably don't look in there.

so, here they are. any criticism is welcome! positive, negative. anything. i've been in a really bad funk with my driver lately and thought about retiring it for awhile.

looks decent to me. your head moves down alittle, maybe try to keep it still.

Things that jump right out at me:

1. You are standing too far from the ball. Your arms should hang down, not extend out (unless you are Moe Norman.)

2. Your baseball grip gives you too much hand action. It's fine if you can control it, but I don't think you can.

3. You have a reverse weight shift, meaning your weight moves to your left side as you take the club back.

I would suggest reading Hogan's book, and practicing some drills that address posture and proper weight-transfer. Also, your cameraman needs to do a MUCH better job of getting footage of any hot chicks that show up at the range...

I'm no instructot but your posture seems a little bent over, maybe try to keep your back a little more upright..also you seem to be gripping the club a couple of inches down the shaft, is there a reason for this..

seems like your miss would be a pull left..whats your typical miss

I'm so glad you posted the video. I can guarantee that if you follow my advise you will shave at least 15 strokes off your game. What I noticed was...whoa! Oh my god! Did you see that HOT chick in the red skirt behind you? She was smokin' hot! Is there any chance that you have her phone number? Yeah, yeah...I like her a whole bunch! Do me a favor and set us up! Oh, man! I forgot what I was talking about!

Very athletic, strong swing. I bet if you move the ball closer (so your hands hang straight down), you will be in even a more athletic upright position, giving you more length and accuracy. Also, don't choke up on the club. This will make you even more upright. I am 6'4", and I am not that bent over with my driver, and you look about 5'10".

Tee the ball with the name on the back. Then, read the name while you swing. This will get your head behind the ball and help get your weight shifting to your right foot.

You've got a good swing IMHO.

Wow, I have finally learned something of value! I have to admit, I'm a bit offended by the 'molest' suggestion. I have had carnal relations with hot orangutans before but have NEVER, and I mean NEVER have molested them! If you're dressed all in fur you are asking for it! That's right monkey buy! You want it! Oh yeah, it's my birthday...Sorry. Thank you for the information as i am a better man knowing this! God, I can't wait for the sweet smell of death to take me away from all this stupidity. loftgolf does more threadjacks than I do!

The swing looks good, a little armsy to me, but if you saw mine, I'm the polar opposite. I'd say try and rotate around, and let the club hang more than such an extension. Rotate your body around your spine/head, which will help with a proper weight transfer, instead of swaying.
