Yeah, I have been. I've been going 2knuckles left and basically Hogan right, that seems to be the most consistant grip. Takes the right hand out and I can get the driver cutting a tad and draw everything else out of that grip.

I wouldn't be surprised if Jeff was your caddie for a round and if you HAD TO listen to him for strategy, you would shoot high 70s/low 80s.
Probably. Actually I'm worse than dead aim. 160 is dead on 8i. I'm trapping it to move it right to left at a left pin or a slight cut to fly it on top of the stick with a right pin. Which 80% of the time leaves me chipping or hitting a bunker shot.

Honestly though. I've not been practicing for nearly a month due to tendonitis in my right elbow. Played 3 days in a row last weekend, played pretty poorly. Today I went out not knowing what to expect. Just see what I'm hittin and try to play it. GIR on 15 with a 3putt followed by birdie, par, par... figured it out too late.

I take that as a great compliment!

Honestly, Ez is like Daly without the booze. He's an amazing talent, but some of us think he messes around too much to stay on tour.

I made a few adjustments at the range and seeming to work. Got a little more upright and changed my grip. I actually went to a short left thumb. I was hitting everything straight but driver seemed a tad shorter and higher than usual. Irons looked real good as they were getting the old 1yd. cut. I almost grabbed a 2nd bucket but figured I'll have time in the evenings this week to work on it. Now to find my 5lessons book... where did I put it?

I went back out to the par 3 course to test it, couldn't resist. Striking the irons and wedges awesome, too well actually. I tried hitting some 3/4 shots and flew 6 GD greens. One said 143 and I flew it by over 20yds. with a 9iron... had to be a bad measurement but I was puring every shot dead online. Amazing how a simple grip adjustment can make that much difference. Bad thing is my right elbow is now inflamed.

I completely agree with jeff and king par. I have shot in the 60's before(well once before) and almost never work the ball. The only(and i mean only) time i will work the ball is if i need to get it out of the forest.

And even when i need to work it, i cannot hit a fade/slice around anything. The only thing i can do is hit a draw. However i can control how much draw it has.

What this rambling post is meant to say is that unless you are in the forest or behind a tree, go for the straight shot. No need to trap draw it in, or hit a baby fade to a back pin. And if you are between clubs hit a 3/4 shot.

Keep it simple!!

yup what he said..

i try not to work the ball, although i'm pretty comfortable w/ trajectories and fades, only time i'll shape the shot is if the misses are okay or i must (in forest or behind a tree).

for the most part, i'm always setting up for "straight shot." my natural flight is fades, so it looks like i'm shaping shots.

keep icing that elbow btw.. don't want you being out for the season. i need rides to the course
