Bowing the wrist at impact?

Well I'm still continuing my conquest of trying to get a divot after the ball strike. I read that at impact, I should feel like the back of my left hand (I'm a righty) should be/feel like it's pointing, DOWNWARD, toward the target. I was trying to implement this and did manage to hit some good shots, with divot afterwards!. This was also after the fact that I was maintaing a very upright downward swing also and maintaining wrist angle for as long as possible. It felt good.

So my ? is does this sound correct?

Hey, Mav, try this link:

Do you cock?

it might have some insight for you. The thread was all about puring contact, and mentions a few people struggling with the Hogan Pronation Requirement. What I think you'll find, in a nutshell, is that when you try to consciously pronate at impact, you lose clubhead speed, perhaps because your arms/hands are fighting one another. Dunno really, what seemed to click for me, was making sure I was swinging both hands/arms through the ball, rather than leading with either the left or the right...another Hogan statement as well, btw. I found that most of my issues with poor ball contact arose from too little involvement of the left side in the swing. Did wonders for my driving too, btw.

As long as I use the long tees....

Great blog, btw, though I admit I've not been in awhile.
