HOLY SH#@$!!!!

That's SHANK!! I don't know what the hell happened but after 3 buckets of range balls I started shanking all my irons. I couldn't even hit a pitch shot. I stopped by a little par 3 course and took all 2dozen old balls I had in my truck. I got it worked out after about an hour. What the heck caused it? I am just totally perplexed. I was so angry I almost snapped my PW over my knee.

I don't know what caused them, and I hope I never have to find out.

First and most importantly, never type that word where anyone can see it again.

Second, after three buckets of balls it could have been fatigue. I've done that to myself a few times so it's best to just stop and the next you go out you should be ok.

Either that or you've been cursed and the game will never be the same.

I think I would honestly rather have VD. To make matters worse this old guy shows up right after me and starts trying to give me lessons. I was thinking "dude I'm gonna wrap this f-ing club around your neck if you don't get lost" I got him back though. I saw him coming back down the hill in front of me after a little while. I took dead aim at him with a 7iron, then hit a beauty of a draw onto the green 40yds. to his left.

Don't you just love that panicky feeling that starts in the pit of your stomach, and then leaves you gasping for air? It's like My God, I may never hit another decent shot for the rest of my life!

It's why Tin Cup is one of my favorite movies.

Do you know the difference between a BMW and a porcupine? The porcupine has its' pricks on the outside.

Boy am I glad to see I'm not the only one. I got it straighted all out, thankfully. I think it was a matter of fatugue as mentioned by DaveE. Also I changed the weights around in my R7 and hit a lot of drives. That may have messed with my face position at impact. You'll like this one... A cat walks onto the course about 160 yards away. I hit a 7iron at him (what are the chances) it landed in a puddle not more than 3 feet away from him. Scared the living crap out of him. (this was after I corrected the problem if you are thinking karma).

Ok. I'm going to pick up some cat food on my way home later to feed these strays and put everything back in balance. I can't get those damn sh#*%s off my mind.

This would be my recommedation. Take the day off, watch Tin Cup, replay the scene where Costner comes out of the trailer with all the Swing Aids, and realize it could be worse. Go back to the range with that scene in your mind. Works Wonders!!!

I haven't seen that movie. I have almost everyday off so that shouldn't be a problem. I am not going to touch a club for a few days, except my putter. I can't afford anymore golf till the weekend anyway, unless I bring my 5gallon bucket and my wedges to the park.

Thanks dude. Man that was funny. I especially love the one where you are all concentrated and focused on your setup..... and then shank the living crap out it. You gotta put that up under it's own thread. Thanks for making my day.

Why did you put the visor on in the middle?

The only advice I can give when it happens to me is when I get tired and I start getting closer to the ball.
