My driver has a hook in it!

I have never, ever hooked a ball. I am a slicer!

Not today. I played in my first mens league tournament (ABCD Scramble) and my drives were utter shit, left, left, left and left again!

That's the bad news.

The good news is I was hitting my irons like a pro....sweet, sweet contact and straight as an arrow. I chunked only one pitch shot and hit 9 GIR.

We came in at -6. probably not good enough to be in the money but it was a satisfying round nontheless.

Hmm. Think you made some "discovery" or was it a freak of nature never to be seen again? Most "hookers" I know pound their irons pretty well...

I changed my swing a bit. I flattened it out. My driver has a 2* closed face so I think I either need to open the face up a bit or get a new driver.

Closed faces suck. How many times have you hit it? The R7 has a slightly closed face. I pull hooked everything the first day I got it. Once I got used to it I sure enough got my slice back.

Sounds like a good enough reason to go shopping to me ! ! ! Get a new big stick and throw a wedge out, you've got a draw(hook) driver you just need a fade one now and you can be the new Mickleson!!lol

A quick drill I do when this creeps in is the Karate Chop. Take some abbreviated swings and focus on Karate Chopping the ball with my left hand on the way down. Keeps the club face from closing.

It's time for a new driver without a doubt.

Start a contest in the member only section for a new driver and rig the results so you win. That way you not only get a new driver, you can also write it off.

This mental image just got me that much farther from approaching a prostitute at some time in my life, should the urge ever come over me.

Thanks OB.
