damn this game is a b&**&

This damn game will kill me. I've always sliced my driver and I was inconsistant with the chiping. My iron play was always good. I atribute that to spending my first year at the pitch and puts. I've gotten the slice out of my driver finaly. Chiping is great and my puting is spot on. Today I couldn't hit my irons. The very first hole is a par 3 at the this little par 4 course I goto sometimes. I hit a grounder. The 2nd hole is a par 4..hit a nice driver..pull out a 7 iron. Felt good..kept my eye on the ball..look up and expect it to be floating twoard the green and thier it is burning worms off to the right. It got a little better twoard the end but its frustrating when something you never give a thought is suddenly causing you to examine everything about it. I think I figured it out now..I was standing to far away from the ball. I tend to stand right on top of the ball with my irons. Plus I have new golf shoes that I wore for the first time today. With the new spikes my feet felt like they were glued to the ground where as my old ones were in bad shape. Oh well...I guess I'll just try to focus on what I did good today.

Check out the Consistancy thread. It seems like I tune my swing up at the range and then it just progressively goes to hell until I tune it up again. I recommend hitting the range 2 days in a row before Myrtle. That way you can stand over every shot with confidence, not thinking "I hope I don't sh*nk this 7iron like last time".

Trob.
I have been a little detached from the site the last week or so but I have noticed one thing in particular.

You have been agonizing over your game, alot.

Try bowling.

hmmm..really ..I don't remember posting any issue's till now. I've been hitting them really good actually. I've been finaly hiting them good with the driver. The slice is always my big problem.

Btw..I went to the Range today and hit them good. I had some bad shots as I was tiring out. It seems when I start hiting them bad on the range it's because I'm losing focus.
