You know what i think it is.....you all think to much...just get up and hit the ball....get a song in your head and sing it all round..the day i shot 89 i had pink floyd in my head ....maybe its cuz you are married too...which i guess there is nothing you can do about....

but yeah ...good luck friends on the season.....i hope to see all of our scores drop.....

if i sounded like a jerk....i wasnt...im saying this all in fun...just cuz all of you sound so smart and are letting a 16 year old smoke ya

its funny that you mention getting a song in your head. when ever i play my best im singing a song in my head, it really helps me not over think and keep a good tempo.

think about picking up something based on complicated, timed movement like golf at a more advanced age (say 40 or 50) where your muscles are already starting to deteriorate, you have decades of muscle memory for other things, and things like joint stiffness are already becoming a problem

do you still have a question?

I agree llildude, a good tune improves your game.

As one of the ones here soon to be eligible to play from the senior tees, all I have to say is BITE ME!

Actually, I have only been playing since last June?, so I'm not doing too bad: one round in the 80 (high, 80s) and my handicap is 21.1.

My putting was pretty good last weekend, with the exception of the occasional wild misread.

I just need more consistency.

Ah, the folly of youth. To believe that life is free and easy. No worries. Just swing away. Immortality and grace.

You too will be this way some day, I think it is because I can no longer focus and killed way too many brain cells in the 70's and 80's, because I had Pink Floyd in my head way to often. Although that was when alot of their albums first came out. Give it a few years, you to will understand the tragedy of having Pink Floyd in your head way to often. This was back when Roger Waters and David Gilmour didn't have to worry about drooling efferdent on the microphone, and Syd Barrett did most of the talking and was not a "Who's He"

My biggest issue is time. Not that I am getting older, just that I have less time to spend on golf. I played my best golf in my early 20's as I had a ton of time off, no bills, no wife, and the freedom to play golf when ever I wanted to. When I was on the course 3-4 times a week, I was shooting in the low 80's / high 70's on a regular basis. Now that getting out on the course once a week is a treat, I find it hard to break 90 on a consistant basis. If anyone wants to send me $100k a year, I guarentee I will find the time to improve my game and shoot low scores again

Danger Danger EGO alert
I'm 16 aswell, I've played for 7 months and have shot 4 over par without my driver. It's because we're teenagers that we learn so quickly, 4 over par is a score I'm proud of but I'm very aware that "The Master" is a similar age to me but could kick my ass round a golf course. As for the old folk(atleast the few I know) they have loads more fun playing golf simply because they dont expect anything special.

Yes, many of us are happy if we don't shart or piss ourselves during a round.

I might trade pissing myself for a round under 90.
