u been playin 30 years??? woot surley u can do better how often do u play? i wanna get down to 4 or better handicap in 4 years and im off bout 20 rite now

I would not tempt the Golfing Gods which such a bold statement. They have ways of making even the best golfers look bad.

And they have ways of making bad golfers even worse. I was getting all cocky because I was finally starting to break 100 regularly, and even 90 occasionally. The Golf Gods decided to humble me: Last weekend the longest club I could hit was a 24* hybrid.

Back to the drawing board.

Yeah - I really never played the game seriously for the first 25 of those 30 years. I got to a 20 handicap, and then down to a 15 last year. For some reason, I've drifted back up to a 19 now. I think I just don't play enough to get any better, but I think I should be a 15.

I just plain suck. Today I had the best start ever at my home course and wound up shooting a 48 on the front. I was putting like crap. Hit 3 Gir on the front including the #1 hdcp. and 3 putted them all. It gets better. I still have hopes as I am striking the ball very well. I start off with a monster drive on the par 5 10th. Then I pull a little grounder left with the hybrid and end up finally making a 6. Then i just fell apart. Tee shots got worse and worse and putting still sucked. I got a GIR on a difficult little par 3 and you guessed it 3 putt. 48 on the front 57 on the back and 40 putts. I am going straight down to Dick's Sporting Goods.... and shopping for a nice tennis raquet.

Reason 99: It was so windy at the course that not even the ducks were not flying straight.

Reason 98: New golf shoes and my dogs were barking for the entire round!

Reason 97: The group in front of us was playing so slow and I could not concentrate with all that time in between shots.

Reason 95: My caddy hated me and gave me all the wrong distances. (When I was caddying I was blamed for a lot of things I had nothing to do with )
