Thread: Thank-you Golf

  1. Thank-you Golf

I had been really down in the dumps the last few days. I was going to do a little fishing yesterday evening and to add insult to injury the guys my landlord hired to clean out the basement decided my Penn rod and reel was free for the taking. Guess I'll be deducting that from my last payment. Anyway I had my best round of the year today at Country View, a course Nsherman and I played earlier this year. I missed (3 jacked) my 8th career eagle putt.(driver 6I into a 475yd. par 5) I shot a 47 and 43. That does not even break the ice of the potential I had. I had a 7 and an 8 on the back so basically I was tearing it up on every other hole. To top the day off I hit my 5w into the right rough of the last par 4. The green slopes uphill and I know it's fast. I hit a perfect 9iron onto the fringe, excactly where I wanted to. It ran up the slope and was less than 2 inches from holing out. Yes, I made this putt. My swing is just feeling awesome. It's like there is just this imaginary groove and it just stays right in it. Damn this round had potential. 36 putts 5 doubles a triple and a quad for 90. That means I kicked some a$$ on the other 11. I dropped my index by almost a full point..... Thank-you Golf, I needed this.

P.S. Callaway HX Hot is a bad MFer...

I don't know about the golf, but just screw work!

Or just work screwing... become a golf gigolo.

Hustling golf eh? Nobody would play you... There's probably easier money to be made on tour, from the sounds of it.

I would have been shot at playing that round with my 17 cap. matchplay. Here's a little breakdown of the handicap # and my score on a few
    1. par4 5 with 3putts
    2. par4 7 with an ob tee shot
    3. par 5 par
    4. par 4 5 w/2putts
    5. par 4 6 w/ 2 putts after missing gir by 5ft left and a flyer chip shot
    6. par 5 5 with 3putts
    7. par 4 6 with 2putts
    8. par 4 par
    9. par 4 6w/2
    10. par 4 birdie
Any 7indexes want to play. That's basically 6holes almost a lock.

I have a job interview Tues. BTW. Weekend golfer again if I get it.

  7. If only I could have putted yesterday. I'm going have to take Ben Hogan's wife's advice and hit them even closer to the hole.

Good luck on the job interview, Ezra.

Good luck also on the job interview, Ezra. Remember, they would be lucky to have you as an employee.

  9. Thanks. It is only for a job as a driver/crew leader for a moving company. I would say I'm pretty much qualified with over 10yrs. experience, clean license and medical card as well as a big chunk of my management/marketing degree knocked out. I have made about $700-$800wk. take home doing this job in the past so I know it pays halfway decent. Now, should I just finish my credit card off for a couple more rounds before it's back to work? Why not? My credit sucks anyway and I'm probably going to let my truck get repo'd next month, my dad has a Ford Ranger with an extra cab I can pretty much use as long as I need to. I need to save up and take another run at this thing next spring and get my local moving license. Thanks for the support guys.
