Played well yesterday

Yesterday I shot a 4 over on 9 holes with 4 pars 1 birdie 3 bogeys and a double. So I was happy with it but I feel that I could've played better because I sliced my driver almost every shot I noticed my tee marks starting from the center and moving towards the toe. What does this mean? Can it cause a slice? Is there a way I can correct it short of lessons? drills? thanks.

The slice is the most common disease in golf and needs a hands-on cure....

Yea thats what I figured but i dont know what happened I used to hit the ball really straight but all of a sudden it started to go right on me. Could this be because of my budget driver? Should I consider getting a new one? Thanks

Do you know what causes a slice? Do you know why they call it a cut shot? Can you envision why the tee marks would start at the center and be scraped along towards the toe? Can you see what clubhead path would cause that?

If you can answer those questions, you'll know why you're slicing the ball. And you'll have taken the first step towards working out how to fix the slice.
