True horror story...

So i'm having the best round of my life....im 6 over par going into #18. Its a par 71 so a double bogey will give me under 80 = my best ever. Don't i duff three chips and take a triple , the only triple of the day... I didn't know whether to cry or throw my clubs in the lake...what a disaster.

Any one else do something like this?

Phil Mickelson comes to mind. Just kidding, I haven't done it lately because I tooks Slings advice, don't add up your card until you are done.

Standing on 18, an easy par 4. 3 wood off the tee sets me up for an 8 iron in.

Drill the 3 wood into the water. Shooting 3. Duff a wedge into the water. Shooting 5. Hit a wedge short, duff the chip and 2 putt for a 9.

Wanna hear about the 7 I took on a par 3?

Blow up holes SUCK...

Nice.

Trust me on two things: 1) you do want to hear about Rock's 7 on the par 3. It is a classic.
2) you're definitely not alone - unless I'm the only one who just shanked a 60 yard sand wedge into
the net seperating the range from the 9th hole loud enough to stop half the range and watch me
look for my ball. Doh!

Reminds me of my best ever round of 85, conisdering I had two 8's on the card - I'm always left wondering what could have been.

In my first year of play I was playing a par 70 course and it was one of the middle tournaments. The whole day went great and shot 7 over on 17 holes...However, the 4th hole gave me some nice OB and a triple to make me angry!

I was just happy to regroup after that though and salvage a decent round.

Every time I play.

Today I shot 49-39. What's up with that?

Birdied both par 5s on the back, never done that before.

Hit a career drive on #9, over the trees on the dogleg, had 135 in, perfect 8iron, which I chunked into a trap. Tried to pick it out & flubbed it. Took a double.

Hit a big drive on #18, but in the left rough at 160 out, uphill. Instead of trusting my 6 iron, I hit a 5 and flew the green. Downhill pitch rolled 20 feet past, made bogie.

I am such a stupid.

I have done that a few times. Knowing you only have to par or boggie out for a round in the 70's. Trust me that round will help and next time you won't worry as much about it.

On a career drive is it?

I accidently drove it in between trees on a par 5, caught a cart path, and ended up about 40 from the green. Sad part is, it was a nasty pull.

thats happened to me before as well

I was on track to breaking 100 and on the last 3 holes, I decide to go back to the way I played when I first started and score 13, for the last 3 holes

Actually, this one time, it was. My partner and I had just discussed where the best landing spot on this hole was and how to get there.

Would any of you like my copywrited article: Friendly Cart Paths, and How To Aim For Them?
