Always the short game. Played with my dad yesterday evening. We tied with 46's on the front then the 4 hole playoff resulted in a tie at 21. I just couldn't get up and down. My full swing was actually pretty decent after about a 2week layoff. We had fun even though I swung like 40-41 and shot 46. He's been playing a lot, 3 times last week by himself, so I suppose it would have been a letdown if I still smoked him.

I did get in his head though by tee off with a 7iron on the 1st par 4. Would you believe I hit a small tree on the right edge at about 160-170 and then teed up another for a practice swing and hit the same tree about 6 inches higher. LOL, at least I'm consistant.

It wasn't as bad as it sounds. The hole plays a bit R to L and the place to be was the right side as the pin was front left. That tree is on the edge of the fairway. I just drew it 2 yds. instead of the 8 I was trying for.

The 1st one just glanced it and ended up in the fairway for a SW in off a nice uphill lie. I still beat me dad. He hit a wormburner that barely skipped over a stream, leaving him a 3iron second after a driver off the tee, lol.

I was just kidding anyway, I hit two drives today that ended 3 feet from one another...in the rough.

Go easy? I missed a 4footer for a par and he dropped a 15footer for a par. I got him on the next hole though. Hit the green from 168 with an 8iron. He pushed a 4iron(I think) wide and ended up on the other side of the cartpath behind the green. It's strange I only have about 15 yds. on him with the driver but about 3-4 clubs when it comes to the irons.

We both ended up with a 46 on the front and then played 4 more holes. A par 3, 2 4's and a 5. We tied at 21 on those. I had a 3,6,6,6. Yuck.

Short game was all set today. Shot 41 out front and then caught up with dad and starting skipping around different holes. I got him good today, lol.
He is always busting my balls about my irons being strong lofted, that's his reasoning why I hit like 3 clubs less than him . Today he tees off on a 153 yd. par 3 with a 6iron and leaves it short. I grabbed his PW from his bag while he wasn't looking. I said, "I'll put it on with a PW". He says, " yeah but your PW is like my 8iron". I proceed to hit it skyhigh and land it 8 feet from the stick, then I say "Here put this this away" and smile. He has this dumbfounded look as I hand him his PW.

It was pure gold.

Yeah, he did seem a little disheartened, lol. We had a great time though. Didn't keep score and left about a dozen old balls all over the place hitting those drivers. (we basically had the course to ourselves for almost 2 hours.) I can't believe the launch he gets with an 8.5*. He'll only be about 10yds. behind me if I give him that Titty with the Prolite.
