New clubs first outing

After finally getting my new clubs on the course and not on the range i was full of confidence. This is it my game is changing for the better and handicap is going to get lower after getting clubs fitted etc. Shot a round of 125!!!!!! Could not hit anything. Even my rescue let me down which is what i count on when game turns south!!! There are sometimes when this game really bites you on your ass.

Had the same thing happen when I replaced my beloved Cleveland VAS 792 irons (13 years old) with new "custom fitted" Ping G5's this summer. I couldn't hit them!! I went for a lesson and in 5 minutes he had me hitting them just fine. What happens is you expect the clubs to hit themselves while you just hold the handle and smile at the results. Doesn't happen. Once I understood that I still had to hit the club everything started clicking. The same will work for you too. Just go back to paying attention to what you're doing and don't be peeking to watch that beautiful shot (like I was doing).

The problem is obviously with the new clubs. Go to eBay immediately for help. Time is critical. Do it immediately before those new clubs cause you to lose confidence in your swing.

Oh man, that sucks!

On the bright side, maybe you'll be able to play like Kevin Na when you are healed.
