Swing as of January 3 2007.

http://media.putfile.com/JSswing900

Did a little work since the last video but im still not happy.

Tried some things this afternoon while it poured rain all day and I'll take another video tomorrow.

My take away still looks..a little..well, you tell me.

I really focused on smoothing out my transition from back - downswing today. Should make a big difference in tomorrows video. I'm thinking this will help a little with the hook.

Worked a little on my temp to. Cant do to do much in the house.

The ground was a little..mushey in the vid and it will be worse tomorrow. Got about 20mm today, but that better than 20cm of snow!.

I have quite a bit of head movement and I don't like it, I'll work on that tomorrow to.

Thoughts?
Suggestions?

Thanks,

JS

Looking good man. Wish I could say the same. My OTT is uncurable. I'm ready to just say they heck with what it looks like and just hit it as hard as I can. Made a video today to check out my progress, same thing, just slower.

Have you tried your inside approach idea?

No not yet. One of these days I'll figure it out maybe. I just keep lifting the club right before I come down. I can see from behind, my turn is better, not so much sliding, grip is much better, I just have this little hitch where my hands move up and then I come down very vertical. I'll put together a few clips, maybe someone can offer some advice, I need drills, serious drills.

Great swing bar one move, and you have an idea whats coming:

the breakdown in your takeaway is because you flip the club inside with the hands, and because of this you get a little bit shut and trap it a bit too much on the way down resulting in the odd hook if you release too quick

A drill i have suggested for takeaway is butt end of the club in belly button and swing to hip height keeping it in there, your tendency to flip it early will be apparent, other than that, a good swing

Got it. Very nice swing but it seems as if you're leaning a bit too much on the right side up the top of the backswing. getting any fat shots lately?

You're swinging backwards...

Anyway, I like the swing and not really much to say other than what's already been said. Oh, nice hat.

I always had a terrible OTT, and decided that it was mostly caused by my long past parallel backswing. I basically built a new swing starting hitting mostly half swings and really focusing on my first move from the "top" being a drop to the inside with my right elbow. As I got more used to it, I lengthened my backswing and now I am happy with the way my swing path looks (unfortunately you can't see the video)

From time to time my rhythm gets screwed and I will start coming OTT again, but when this happens, I try to weather the storm by shortening my swing and coming thru the ball harder to compensate for the shortened backswing.

Thanks VT. I've been working at it and will try to incorporate that as a thought. My driver was all over the map today, I had to put it away and start hitting 3W. I now have a "Hogan" grip and it's causing a lot of pushes and fades, even when I setup for a straight to slight draw. I may need to back that grip down a bit stronger.
