Best of luck, focus on the golf, not the course

Good luck, I got rained out today.

I don't mind sprinkles, but this was a deluge.

We had fun....trying to teach a 12 year old BASIC swing mechanics is tough.
"bend your knees, left arm straight...turn your shoulders (over and over and over)"

He dialed in a few nice shots. and so did I.

forget about putting....the greens were a mess. Aerated in November....not sanded. It was like putting across the surface of the moon.

I can totally relate as I took my 12yr old to the range Friday night after work. It's funny as I can be so hipocritical; I'm standing there telling him to stay within himself and swing easy then I go and give everything I have into some wild ass shot...

Ahhh the 'ol ghetto muni. That's Triggs, right in the middle of the city. It's actually a nice course. I once had to move a 40 ounce Colt 45 bottle to punch out though. Funny how you show someone else something and then you are reminded to do it yourself. I showed a kid who kept sculling and chunking his irons the "hand's before clubhead". I had tried to hit a high fade 9i and showed him with a PW and stuck it to 2ft.

Well, the only person more stubborn than my son and I is my dad (55). My folks visited at Thanksgiving and I had both going at the same time!

Ha ! I got up at 8am, drove out to Gordon Lakes, had a nice breakfast, and was ready to pay for my tee time when it started pouring. They actually closed the course!

So I ended up at Wedges & Woods where they have a covered hitting area. I spent 4 hours there and hit 400 balls.
