By George...

I might just have it... I spent nearly 3hrs. at the range this morning. Started out with my usaul routine as of late, the 1/2 wedges. So I had a suggestion for a drill I am familiar with, I actually got it from the Callaway fitting guy a while back, so figured I'd try it again. Wow, big difference now that the grip is correct and I'm not sliding. With the left foot way in front of the right, I was swinging around my body, take it back wide, drop the hands back in. Has anyone ever seen a 195 yd. 8iron? Well I kept this up, doing the drill then going back to a normal stance. Can I use this stance when I play? I had no problem hitting dead straight 3irons, sailing over the 200 marker. When I tried driver though, I had a difficult time with a normal stance. I kept pushing it or hitting a superhigh draw. I was hitting it over 225 with a half swing using the drill. Then I got frustrated and took a few full swings using the drill. This is just ridiculous, I hit 3 in row that were about a 3 yd. draw over 280. Why am I hitting it like this from the drill stance, yet when I go back to a normal one I can't get it down?

I would say just keep doing the drill and it will carry over into the regular stance. Muscle memory.

also, 195 8 iron? straight?..I'm starting not to like you very much

NICE WORK
