Finally! No rain or ice in Dallas!

I finally managed to get my first full round in this year! My course was closed last weekend, and Jan 1 I had hurt my back again after playing just 3 holes so I had to take a couple of weeks off anyway. The layoff seemed to help. Even though I couldn't practice before we played this morning (the range was still flooded from the rain yesterday) I managed to keep things failrly straight and my distance control was pretty good. I managed a 76, with a ^%$# triple bogey on the par 3 17th

One of my favorite investments for golf is the cover and heater I bought for the cart (sorry Dave - I can't carry my clubs around). It was 35 degrees when we teed off, but warmed up to nearly 50 by the time we finished. Having the heater on sure helps keep the back loose during the round.

The weather here has been bad enough on weekends my regular group has been looking into indoor golf courses - unfortunately the closes one is about 45 min from me, and was booked up all day Saturday.

I went out yesterday as well, I drove all the way up to the TPC in McKinney. I need to stop playing there since it is kind of expensive. Had a crappy round because I am ballooning all of my irons and its really throwing off all of my distances. I shot a 77 from the PGA Tour Tees. Where did you play?

Nice, your neighbors in New Mexico are still slightly cold.

I hate the cold, I'll play in it, but I hate it.

I will play in the rain and the cold, but the courses out here shut down when it goes below freezing.

I usually just play at Los Rios GC in Plano - I'm a member there right now since it is relatively cheap to belong and only a couple of blocks from where I live. I am thinking of changing my membership when it comes up for renewal however - our greens have been in terrible shape for months now, among other items.

The "indoor golf" I mentioned my group was looking at is actually virtual golf, not truly an indoor course. I didn't even realize there was such a thing as a true indoor course at all untill I Googled it to find out.

It's finally decent enough in Dallas to get out after work this week for a little practice, and I'm down in Houston and it's pouring rain right now!

Your not missing much, its cold still. I was able to go to the range after I picked up my 60* wedge from the shop.

I played yeasterday since we got a break from the rain in the Houston area, but it was here again today for sure. Course was as soggy as it could get and still be playable.
