Official policy on linking to competing golf sites....

I see this very often, guy makes a post about something he saw at another golf forum but never links to it or hardly even gives a clue as to it's location... "starts with b and ends with g" is one such cryptic post.

Many of you have been conditioned by other sites to tread carefully (walk on eggshells as it were) when mentioning another site.

I want to make my feelings on the matter crystal clear.

I do not care one bit about linking to other sites (unless it's shameless promotion).

Link away!

I know there are other sites out there, we are all members of more than one.

Please do not feel the need to 'hide' it.

i joined a few when i started out looking for tips and stuff but now this is the only site i use.maybe once a yr i might try to find a club review site but thats about the extent of it.

i spend so much time on this site i dont have time to frequent others.so i dont bother with them.

This is the only one I post on now, although I only found out about it through another - GR (Golf Review, for the sake of not wanting to look as though I am hiding it with initials ) As most of the original members on here seemed to have migrated from there even before I started posting on GR. I have never been shy of saying what I think about the progression of GR and the phases they would go through every time they decide to take a dive in the toilet bowl. Unfortunately for them, their latest phase seems to have lasted well over a year and it seems unlikely they are going to recover to their original state and maintain the worthwhile members this time around. Although they do seem to still have a few decent members, for the most part it even seems like the original longstanding ones no longer post either.

Actually it was kinda funny, I always just refer to them as GR, and had to actually go to the site to verify what it stood for today.

The first nite I searched for golf sites ST is the first one I came across and the first one I joined. I jioned about 4 that nite. The funny part this is the only one I still visit. I still remember though that GR seemed to have the most flamers on it.

I was repermanded for using the word fluffer, I was sent mail saying it was a bad word. Never went back.

One of the posters posted the number he was at and said he posted a lot of useless info. Like we due here. And I had just started posting over ar GR and I chimed in that the guy was a real fluffer and a Mod equited it too being a porn fluffer. On a shooting site I visit, thats what they call someone who posts alot, to get up their post count. I recieved a PM warning
me about inappropriate language and about being banned. Shortly after someone posted a question and I put my .02 in and got shot down, so I came over here where people like me.
