Other Golf Forums.....

I found a nice little forum today.....www.thesandtrap.com

They seem to be in about the same place we are here, go have a look.

Thinking about it some, I suspect that many webmasters of competing golf forums do not care for people like me coming by trying to squeeze them for information, nevermind leaving a link to here laying around.

I am different.

I am thinking of creating another forum catagory where we post links to other golf forums that we enjoy (or discover).

Lay a few of them on me right here and if I get enough interest, I'll make a new catagory.

Well, I will start,

GEA
Ham and Egg if you want to pay to view; not worth it it my opinion.
Golfopinions, boring but you get golf stuff.
Bombsquadgolf.com, but the bastards banned me for a month so they can kiss my ass
The freegolfinfo.com website is very fun and filled with fat rednecks. I have been banned there maybe 10 times, but I haven't even lurked there in over a year... maybe I will go back now that I have mentioned them... they do have some good equipment forums, so I am not talking about them...

The most effed up golf forum on the internet is doublegolf.com. they broke off from golfreview.com a couple of years ago, but all they talk about is porn and other nonsense; not worth viewing. If you are into crossing the boundaries of good taste you may like it...

Golfreview.com was cool until dorkman banned me for nothing I did. I guess it was my reputation that got me banned. He is an old fart, so you can't blame him for trying to change the world; it hurt that he banned me for no reason though; and yes, he has ignored every attempt I have made to contact him... As the Bible says, those who have done wrong, run when no one is chasing... I am not chasing him, but he runs. He is a good guy but I think the he has his demons and he thinks I am one of them...whatever.

shameful...

Check out GEA though (golf equipment aficionados)...

Alough I don't post at them all I know just about every golf forum

some decent ones

www.golf-gear-review.com

www.golfopinions.com - this is a couple of years old with a lot of GR and DG members.

My opinions of other golf forums.

GR- it is a good golf forum and if it wasn't for there I would never be here, but if I have to say as the days go by I'm getting less and less detached to it and it is so hard to hide your anger there. I didn't even visit there this morning .

Golf opinions- ok quite a big community with quite a lot of posting- dorkman, golf nooch, and a few other filmilar names post their.

DG- not going to take anything a way form it, a little over protective but some nice people.

gofl gear review- ok a little boring andthe board is just ok I never really post there.

golf rewind- porabaly the gayest forum on the internet sorry but that is the truth. In the intro colums they post things like. You will never find a better forum in the world it is so friendly and we will promise to take your game to the next level. Yeah right!

ESPN- it is a ok forum they have a tnedcy of rpeating themselves. AND THEY LOVE TIGER.

www.freegolfinfo.com BTL posts their it is ok I don't post their

www.bombsquadgolf.com they banned me for no reason I nevert even made a post.

Shottalk- probably he bets forum on the net in my opinion.

LMAO!

Nevermind....bad idea.

These other webmasters are like Hyena's marking their territory. I try to reach out and I get the cold shoulder (if I get anything at all).

I figure I have something to offer, be it expertise, reciprocal linking, whatever....The golf world is a big one, there is plenty to go around, I don't understand (ok, I get it, I just don't subscribe to it) the guarded attitude.

While we may not be a large board, I am comfortable enough to be willing to share what I know with other's who may be interested without being worried about losing members to what may be a better product....after all, isn't that what this is all about?

Bring it.

I like your progressive thinking. I have seen so many industries use their narrow-minded thinking and in the long term - "limiting competition" never works. The Free Market Rules...

The guys have covered all the forums I have participated in and more.

Freegolfinfo was very international the last time I went there...and I liked this....

Crap! I told the thug that we had a link but I don't see it.

www.golfrewind.com

It's an excellent site but the administration is extremely touchy.

Very guarded about their turf, don't even think about posting a link to here over there or you'll be savaged by one of the jackbooted mods.

He found my music site to be potentially offensive because of the vintage pinup girls....LMAO!

www.bbcradio.raf662.com (hide yer eyes gents)

On the occasions where I have reached out to other golf sites I have had my hand either chewed off or at least made aware that I was less than welcome.

Makes me think I am doing the right thing here by doing the opposite.

The peeps at Golf review and double golf have been perfect gentlemen, cheers to them for that.

I have been a long standing member of Golf Rewind and I did enjoy your posts but you haven't been around lately. I think this site has potential but I must disagree with you about Golf Rewind as it has a lot of great discussions and the rules aren't that heavy-handed...just don't cuss or post offensive material and you are fine...is that too much for a site owner to ask?

ESPN has to be the WORST site out there. It is nothing but a flame war between 3 users and EVERYONE else. The three losers keep talking about how Tiger sucks and everyone else posts supporting numbers for their arguments.

Anyway, good luck with this site and I will contribute when I can but I hope to learn a lot here. Especially where the rules are less strict than Golf Rewind but hopefully better than ESPN.

Thanks LB, but I got ripped to shreds on my first post.

Linking to other golf sites is clearly offensive to some.

I agree with you about the content but the mods need ....well they don't need anything, they can do what they like and I just happen to disagree with it is all.

Cheers!

You know, I haven't ever looked at the ESPN site but I have heard about it some. I'm suprised it has been allowed to deteriorate, it is ESPN after all, not some hacker site like shot talk .

ESPN's forum isn't worth looking at. Disney doesn't even enforce their own rules and have simply let it get out of hand.
