would you call this lake effect snow fall?

this was about 2 or 3 weeks ago 50 mi south of me on US Route 11

they already had some but the majority of it something like 160" over 7 days of non stop snow.

That's probably a V8 Caterpillar. That thing would throw some snow.

Have you ever seen the snowplows they have on the front of trains in the rockies? Insane....they throw snow like 150 feet and can eat like 3000 tons of snow in a hour...

when i was in canada i saw these famers with huge snow blowers on the back that could easily throw snow 150 feet, maybe 200, it was incredible

WBL, those are the old rotary style ones. They don't use those much anymore. The one I'm thinking of is like the new chute and auger style, just on an insanely massive scale.

That's still super cool tho.

I always wondered what cows thought when they started putting cowcatchers on the front of trains and they saw them coming in ankle high. Can't imagine what they would think of this thing. Would save the butcher alot of trouble on making ground beef. Maybe a little messy though.
