Serious movie recommendation...

"When We Were Kings" is an amazing film and documentary. I probably saw it the first time about 7 or 8 years ago.

Go get it.

A not-so serious movie recommendation: Napolean Dynamite. Completely off-the-wall hilarious.

"I really need my Chapstick. My lips really hurt".

That movie sucked, but had a few good lines.

Can we please keep this to my thread topic? Just like Buddha to post a lame movie that I never intended to, and will now never watch, under any circumstances...

I don't appreciate thread jacks, in this particular thread, as I really feel that this movie is worth watching, if you were a boxing fan during the Howard Cosell / Ali years...

Rockford, I am going to put you on the spot right now...

Have you seen this documentary? ...

As for buddha, I am quite sure that this sort of film is beyond his appreciation...

Hugs and accolades,

spankdoggie "Fresh Air" baller

I don't know if you noticed, but nobody seemed to care about "When We Were Kings". You should thank me for prompting contributions to your thread.

Rock, how can you think that movie sucked? You need to watch it again. If you still think it sucks, I'll be man enough to admit that you need to watch it one more time.

Spank hasn't been banned yet? Ahhhh, the demise of ST.

Yes Buddha, this thread is lame. The thread jack was more interesting. I saw Napolean Dynamite and liked it. Wasn't over the top hilarious to me though.

My kids and I got a kick out of The Incredibles.

Sin City was a big huge joke and disappointment to me. If you're a comic book fan...you may like it.

I'll check out "When we were kings".

Napolean Dynamite was an absolute, utter, complete, utter, absolute waste of celuloid, and my time. I am straining trying to think of a worse movie, and am coming up with nothing. These days, I have very little expectations for a good movie, but will hold out for a couple of things: a plot. Yes. A plot usually helps. Not a disarray of skecth comedy scenes shoved in beside each other. I want a cohesive plot. Instead, ND gave us a few hillarious scenes beside more utterly boring scenes, and a disjointed movie was born. Secondly, acting. The actors in this movie were the bottom of the barrel. I've heard that great actors make it look like they aren't acting. Well these guys must be absolute masters, because I couldn't see anyone in the flick acting. They sucked. I hated ND so much, I'll go into the realm of melodrama to pontificate that the fact that anyone did like this movie is a blight on our society.

I have not.

However, a little more background would be nice. What year was it filmed? What's it about? Where would one rent/borrow it from?

Does it star Ice Cube? (Oh, I'm thinking of We Three Kings, with Clooney and Marky Mark).

Help me out here Spank.

I'd have to go with BD on this one, B. That movie was an utter waste of time.

Basically anything that shows the flying MTV logo at the beginning sucks royal anus. All those shows are created for minds that are slowly turning to mush. They have no merit, are marginally funny, and provide a pit of money to suck society into.

I did like the mountain bike scene tho. "Dude, do you take it off any sweet jumps?"

Other than that, I have peanut butter to smear on my face and magazines to eat before i'd watch that show again.

Boo-urns.

Sounds like you and BD need to give it a couple more tries.

I'll concede the movie is hit or miss. You either appreciate the characters for their comedic factor or you just don't get "it".

It's ok. People used to think the world was flat. You guys will catch up eventually.
