There's so much smoke my eyes are burning

The forest fires in Northern Florida and South Georgia continue. I live 250 miles northwest of the closest one and the winds are bringing the smoke our way.

It's horrible. My eyes are burning and the entire house smells horrible...

I can only imagine what it's like for people living down there.

We need RAIN....

We've had a couple of rough days here in Tampa. Not lately - but a few weeks ago it was pretty bad.

We need a slow-moving tropical storm to dump about ten inches up there.

We're not getting the smoke here in Augusta, yet, but we haven't had any rain, either. Things are getting parched.

Our golf course is on a mountain of rock. We have a good irrigation system but it doesn't reach every square yard...

those spots that it misses are just dead....brown. And the fairways are green but are like bricks.

The weather overall is nice. We have low humidity and highs in the mid-80's with a nice breeze. I played on Memorial Day morning and never broke a sweat.

I agree....we need a big tropical dump to come along and get us back to normal. Nothing in the forecast though..,.

That's what we had here just east of Atlanta Saturday morning. It was so think it looked like fog. I had to turn the car air conditioning on 'recirculate' to keep it out of the car.

I'm supposed to be in Daytona in a couple of weeks. Anybody know if it's impacting them?

Central Texas was in drought like this for 2 years until the first of this year. Since then we've had tons of rain. Lake Travis, near Austin, has seen an almost 30' rise in level since January.

We had between 6 to 7" of rain just this weekend. Crazy how this stuff works.

When I used to live further North the smoke from the fire was terrible.

Now that I live in the heart of the praries, there aren't that much trees to burn, so I haven't seen/breathed smoke in 2 years.
