The first hybrid I've seen that I would love to own. I would imagine when it's released it will be out of my price range even though it is a Toyota.

Remember, it was not a shortage of horses that caused their demise; it was innovation. Just for history's sake, there were over 1,000,000 (million) horses in London in the late 1890's... major form of transportation.

It seems impossible to me, but can hybrids/electrics render oil obsolete like they did horses?

What about the quantum computer? They figured that out a year ago... google "quantum computer" and boggle your mind...

It's a concept car at this point and they don't say what it will cost. I'm betting it's pricey.

Gets about the same mileage as my Chevy Malibu (although somewhat faster). I bet you couldn't get one of those for $16,000 though.
