What is the Craziest Thing You Have Ever Witnessed? ->thread

I really don't have anything too crazy, but I thought we could start this up, because there are quite the bunch of bastards here on this forum...

I saw a hawk eat a gopher when I was golfing before.

I saw my friend get beat up at a party when I was 15, but I had not yet hit puberty, and I was less than 100lbs... a few football team members showed up (yeah, I could kick any of their asses one on one now, but we all grow up).

I remember coming home and my uncle asked why I didn't jump in to help my friend, but this guy that attacked my big friend had grabbed his hair and kept punching him in the face; he was fine the next day, though; now has a house, wife, and kids in San Francisco...

I was too small to jump in at that time ... The two REALLY big guys, never even jumped in; the little guy beat my friends ass by himself; at least they had honor back then...

Continue,

spank

P.S. Maybe that experience started my complex to become stronger than most people. I became so damn strong, and then I never got into a fight in my life; but I do have a look in my eyes that stopped many fights, but those were 1 on 1 fights. Never fight more than one person, and watch your back you bastards...

That is why I am still alive, bish.

I had a buddy of mine top the ball badly enough for the ball to pop him in his face and then land on his foot in pretty quick succession. I was like "That's two strokes for each one", but he was more worried about the ball, I think.

And the other time two buddies of mine got really shitfaced on a bottle of vodka and drove a cart down this 60 foot hill on the 10th fairway which is like 50 degrees down. They got down all right, and must've thought they could get back up...mistake. Flipped over and all the gas leaked out

Come on guys...

I am talking stories like this from some kid on a BMW forum: When I was about 12 a lady riding her bike down the busiest street in our neighborhood crashed her bike on one of the sewer inlet grates. Cracked her head open pretty good, an ambulance came, a couple police cars, and maybe 20 passers-by had gathered around. The emergency vehicles were kind of scattered all over and the crowd was all on the sidewalk.

All of a sudden a car came crashing into the crowd! Somehow this drunk old guy managed to weave his car in between the ambulance and a police car and plow right into the crowd of people standing on the sidewalk. Bodies went flying everywhere like bowling pins, the right front fender of the car hit my left wrist as the car went past me from behind.

After the car came to rest one of the neighborhood kids was pinned underneath the car on top of some concrete steps. She got dragged a little ways and there were chunks of meat and hair stuck to the sidewalk. I was in shock but uninjured and just kind of pedaled my bike home and told my mom what happened and I think she just about passed out.

Get back to topic!

"Craziest stuff you have ever seen!

Sheesh, it can be a squirrel that stole your golf ball, but stay on topic you bastards!

I know Bravo, Warbird, etc have some things they have seen, and it may even be good to air it all out.

Im in a fife and drum corps. We are trained to remain absolutely still at attention, and on one particular day, we proved we could stay still through anything.

We were performing in some mall in Oregon. There was an escalator nearby, and a little girl must have been resting her hand near it. After the end of a song, we all of the sudden heard her screaming like crazy. Her hand was caught in the escalator and her arm was moving up with it. We all remained completely still, partly because we are supposed to, partly cuz we were shocked. Somebody was smart enough to hit the emergency stop button right as she was getting on her tippy toes as her hand was still caught and going up the escalator. When they got it free it was all bloody and pretty mangled.

Let's see, ill remember some more later.

On a program my Dad used to work on a guy got a fishing hook stuck behind his eye ball, that was pretty creepy but he made a full recovery.

When I was about 23, an acquaintance knocked on my door (looking pretty drunk) at 6:00am and asked if I could help him tow his car out of a bit of trouble. Figuring he had slid it into a ditch somewhere, we hopped in my truck, grabbed a big nylon line from my boat, and traveled to a spot where there was a "tee" intersection. We stopped and I asked him where the car was. He pointed to the woods and said "in there". I didn't see anything, and thought he must be mistaken about the spot.

About 200 feet, 20 or so broken saplings and a path that looked like it had been made by a rampaging elephant, we found his car. Up in a tree.

I looked at him like he was nuts, shook my head and told him to call a tow truck, and a lawyer.

He must have been going well over 100mph when he blew through the intersection, drunk out of his mind, and drilled into those woods the night before.

I'll give him credit for sobering up enough to find his way back to my house that morning.

Some of the craziest stuff always happened to me! (just one of many stories)

When I was 4-5 years old, my day had a little shed in the backyard used to keep a couple of lawnmowers out of the weather. The shed had been built out of planks from old pallets. Anyway, one of the planks had fallen out from the middle of the roof, leaving a gap just big enough for us to climb through (we were pretending it was a tank). To get through, you had to work your shoulders through and then turn your head just right to squeeze through. Once, just as I was dropping down, someone said something causing me to turn my head the wrong way. Suddenly, I'm stuck hanging by my head, toes hanging above the mower below me. In such a position, I couldn't pull myself back up through the gap and didn't have enough leverage on the mower to push up enough to free my head.

One of the other kids rushed to get my mother. She was too small (tiny lady) to pick me up from that position and couldn't free me. She had to run and call my dad home from work to get me loose (he worked close by). Lucky I didn't break my neck or choke to death.

A couple of years ago I was out fishing in my kayak in Mosquito Lagoon on the Florida space coast. I was paddling along and saw some manatees about 50 yards to my right. All of a sudden a manatee came up behind me and catapulted me forward. My friend was watching and he said the wake and explosion it threw up was the size of the of a volkswagon. I remember just paddling as hard as I could and looking back and seeing his head right behind the kayak. It was amazing how fast I was going due to how hard I was paddling and the force of how hard he pushed me. I didn't stop paddling until I was safe in about 6 inches of water.

I have heard other stories like this about manatees. I know people say they are very slow and docile creatures but I know for a fact that isn't all true.

Here's another story:

We were out fishing in a canoe in the same area. We were about 50 feet off the bank. We heard a lot of crazy noise for a couple of minutes and it got closer and louder. All of a sudden this huge wild boar comes running out of the woods to the edge of the water about 40 yards from us. He was being chased by about 8 hunting dogs. The dogs surrounded him and then all of a sudden a big ass pitbull came charging out and went right at the boar. We paddled our asses about 100 yards away to stay out of harms way and then watched as they went at it. (Oh my god, I am sounding like Michael Vick right now). This went on for about 20 minutes before about a half dozen rednecks came out of the woods and ended up shooting the hog.

This was one of the craziest things I have ever seen and it scared the hell out of me when it first happened because we were so close to it. Needless to say after these 2 incidents I ended up selling my canoe and kayak and took up golf. There is too much crazy sh!t that goes on out there to be paddling around in a little canoe or kayak.

Or a 15-foot jonboat with a 40hp motor...

My buddy and I were fishing on the Old River, which is part of the Wacassassa River, in the Green Swamp WMA in West Central Florida. The river was about 50 feet wide, and as we motored slowly along we passed about twenty dinosaurs in about a half-mile stretch.

I say dinosaurs because these things were HUMUNGOUS.

I've lived in Florida long enough to see some pretty big Gators- 10 ft., 13 ft., etc. But nothing like this. Every single one of these were longer than the boat, some looked to be almost 20 feet long. I think they were Salt Water Crocodiles, which are rare, but not unknown in Florida. I didn't think they were found that far north, but I can't come up with any other explanation.

Each of us had shotguns and handguns with us, and we were hopelessly undergunned.

I soiled myself when a couple of them got frisky and slammed into the water as we passed.

Two off the top of my head.

First off, when I was about 10, I went outside the grocery store, and what's there but a brown bear, maybe 50 yards away. Scared me fooking shitless, especially since I was only 10. Anyway, it had come down from the mountain (I lived in the bounies, still do sorta), and was just pillaging around.

Second would probably be me when I was motorcycle racing. First off, I've crashed a few times, which happens when you race. Each time is unique and freaky in it's own sense, but the one that led me to quit was the craziest. So long story short, I send my bike into a roll (), but it throws me over it. At one point I opened my eyes to feel as if I was in the air. I close them. I re-open them and see my bike going directly over me in a flip, I was on the asphalt sliding it was was flying over me. Yeah, that was super-surreal and close to fatal.

So that's about it, for now,

I've written about this one before here. I was in college and we were just plastered drunk. One of our friends had been thrown in Jail and we - wisely - decided to go to the police station and 'bail him out'

We got into a panel van that had only the front two seats. Behind this was nothing put a pile of junk lying on the floor. My friends got in the front seats and I sat down on the junk pile in the rear.

We drove into town and the driver made a wrong turn. Instead of pulling into the next driveway or street and turning around the normal way, he simply threw the van into reverse and was flying down the street backward...

Suddenly....BAMMM! We smashed into something. I was thrown against the backdoor of the van and I could hear steam outside.

Then the next thing I saw was blue lights, about four feet from the back window of the van. The four feet was the length of the hood of the police car we had backed into. The steam I am hearing is from the broken radiator of the patrol car.

Suddenly, both the front doors of the van are thrown open quite violently at the same time. There are two cops standing at each door redfaced and shining flashlights inside.

My buddies very wisely start mouthing off. IN the next nanosecond, they are on the ground, facedown and the cops are handcuffing them.

Then, they shine the light in the back of the van. I am still piled in a rumpled heap at the back of the van and have a bit of a cut on my forehead from striking the metal rear door.

The cops say, "What do you have to say for yourself boy??"

MY reply: "I'm on my way SIR. Will be right on my way right now SIR"....

They let me out and I walked to a friend's house only three blocks away. She let me in at 2 am and allowed me to sleep on her couch...At that point, the combination of alcohol and head wound had be walking sideways like a crab....

Here's the biggest bonehead I have ever done...

I am 16 years old and have been driving for six months. I was playing tennis with a friend and we got into my car to drive home. One of the routes back to my house is a narrow two lane road with tight twists and turns as it hugs a mountainside. There are no guardrails and if you run off the road, there is an extremely steep decline.

This is very much like so many scenes in movies shot in Southern California where the vehicle flies through the air, only to land at the bottom and explode into flames.

So I am driving like a 16 yo maniac. I have my seatbelt on but my friend does not. The car started to run off the edge....I battled it back but it was too late. The right side tires went off at the same time - causing the car to spiral in a clockwise direction as we shot out into the air.

The car rotated 3-4 times as we shot through the air and finally made impact on its top above the passenger side, about 200 feet below the roadside. The tires are pointing skyward.

The engine was off but the radio was on playing loudly. I hit my seat belt release and smashed my head as I hit the roof of the car. My friend was thrown on the floor.

This was the luckiest thing that ever happened to me, as I looked over at the roof on his side of the car and it had been smashed down to the level of the top of the door.

The sequence went....run off road, shoot out into space, Don falls onto the floor in front of his seat, car rotates 3 times and lands of roof above him smashing it down 3 feet.

If he had been wearing a seat belt, he would have been killed from a massive head wound. If I had not been wearing mine, I would likely had a serious chest injury from hitting the steering wheel...
