Question This is wierd!!

I just opened Google Earth to get a photo of my home golf course, Forest Hills, so I can work on a course for Tiger Woods 2006, and the picture on Google Earth is entirely different than what the course really is!

The course was "renovated" several years ago, and some of the holes were drastically changed, to take some land away for use by Augusta State University, and this picture is of the old course. It's at least 7 years old.

And I know Google Earth had the current picture up just a few months ago.

Anyone know what is going on?

Do you know the difference between a BMW and a porcupine? The porcupine has its' pricks on the outside.

I noticed that same phenomenon when I looked for a $36mm, 40,000 sq.ft. house on 16 acres that's been under construction for over two years. I've been driving by it, and they recently put up a 10 ft. high brick wall around the front and part of the sides of the property. Damn wall cost more than most homes.

It doesn't show up on Google Earth.

I haven't heard of that. I've witnessed the reverse though..meaning..the picture of my condo building was really old, and then a few months ago they finally updated it.

Doc, have you tried Live Local Search ? This site is even better for some locations. When you get the right address, you click on the "Birds Eye" icon and you get an incredibly clear close up picture. Unfortunately not all locations work with this feature. My parents house is 2 miles away, and they can get a birds eye view, but I can't on my building.
