Van Morrison

I'm at it again....listening to songs on You Tube while looking up the lyrics and artists on the internet.

The last half hour I have been on a Van Morrison kick.

Any of you Norn'ers ever see him in Belfast live???

He used to live 2 minutes away from me, haven't listened to a great deal of his music though he does have a few good songs.

I have been on a Van Morrison kick the last half of my life. Although I listen to just about anything, he is my favorite musician.

I'd love to see him live. From what I've read, he sometimes has problems with stagefright, epecially with large crowds.

In to the Mystic...I listened to it five times yesterday...brilliant.

there having a Meatloaf concert about 25 miles from me in the 31st.but its on league night.our bartender is going and taking her mother(that ought to be interesting as her mother is about 65)

With Van Morrison being my favorite Musician, Into the Mystic is naturally my favorite song.

Many of my friends have a really hard time understanding this with my taste in music. I can go from listening to something like Linkin Park or Sum 41 which "Pieces" is way up on my list of favorite songs, to The Platters (who is up at the top of my list as well) or Van Morrison and not miss a beat.

I think I went about 3 years where I would only listen to Van Morrison in my car on Fridays. Kinda my way to start the weekend. "Bright Side of the Road" is another great one and a good way to start the weekend. Or if you like "Into the Mystic", possibly "Wonderful Remark"

This is a great thread, my wife loves Van Morrison and I love Marilyn Manson. Interesting they would intertwine in one thread.

Anyway not to threadjack....but Eracer how was the Manson show?? I want to see them but as close as they got was Atlanta this past saturday...I believe.

I'm the same way, Jayhawk - I've got Van Morrison (of course), Mozart, Chet Atkins, Billie Holiday, Slipknot and Marilyn Manson on my iPOD. I like 'em all.

Jason - the concert was great. He is a consummate showman. I've seen him three times, and each time I was very impressed with the quality and professionalism of the show. He always does a big production, with set changes, and costume changes. And he has a group of kick-ass musicians who lay it all out. I highly recommend that if you like MM that you make it a point to see them while you still can. I thought he was done with touring, but I guess the marriage breakup and subsequent album (which I like) sent him back out on the road.

Amazing what effect a big alimony judgement has on a guy...
