What music gets you in your "golf zone" ?

Just curious what you guys listen to that helps you get in your zone before playing a round.

For me, most anything by John Gorka seems to be in the CD player on the way to the course. His tempo, rhythm, and laid back approach gives me plenty of "non-golf" escapes during the round to keep me level, smooth, and focused.

Of course, certain days it will all fall to crap anyhow, so something a bit more aggressive may get played on the way home :-)

Peace, Bryan

Metallica and Against Me. Occasionally, 80's rock (Autograph, Quiet Riot, Dokken, that sort of stuff.)

I always have the Eagles "those shoes" in my CD player and listen to it on the way to the club every single day. I normally listen to the radio, so the CD never leaves the player. The song suits my tempo so well that I love having it stuck in my head.

I usually listen to Fort Minor and Cyniks while at the range or warming up.

I always listen to Karma by Diffuser, Echelon and Hypnotise by Pillar before I get to the course for a tourney.

I'm in line with 15. I'll go with some Trust Company, harder Shinedown or Hurt, Disturbed, Static X.

Things that are good for adreneline and getting me pumped. It's great, and as I get older the more I like it, because the more I find the balance of adreneline and a clear-safe thought process.

I had a period where I was constantly listening to one album in my car, and it coincided with the period where I was changing jobs, had lots of time off to go down to the range and when I was working on the changes I was given in the lesson I'd just had. Because of that the music is now inexplicably linked to my game, and I always find myself putting it on as I drive down for a round or range session to get my pumped up to play.

The album? The somewhat obscure 'Murder's Only Foreplay (When You're Hot For Revenge)' by the magnificent, but sadly no longer with us, Pigment Vehicle from Victoria, BC in Canada. Very hard to describe, but think of a cross between punk and prog rock, featuring hundreds of key and time changes in every song, incredible musicianship and weird-as-hell lyrics.

Perfect!

A mix of AC/DC, Ozzy, and Metallica finished off with some Barry Manilow...makes that first tee shot really interesting!!!

Actually, whatever's on the radio...on the weekend it's usually XM 146 Golf.

Barry Manilow? I get it now.

When I'm not feeling well I do like easier music.

Either way it belonged to one of the Jr. Golfers.
