I hunt for booty.

No formal hunting though, I don't like killing animals, at all.

I hunt deer mostly, but I've been known to hunt turkey, pheasant, and duck as well. I have a very nice Winchester .270 bolt-action for deer, and a Charles Daly over-under 12ga. shotgun for the rest.

I want to try to get into bowhunting this year.

Upland game including dove, quail and pheasant....

Beretta 390...world's most versatile shotgun. I went to the World Sporting Clay Championship one year in San Antonio....

Half of the contestants had Merkel's that cost $10,000+ and the other half were shooting a 390 that originally cost about $700 and with customization probably topped out at no more than $1500....

Hell of a gun...takes 3 inch shells for ducks and geese too.

Pheasant hunt (wish there were pheasants in Wisconsin ) with my 12 ga. Weatherby Orion over/under and rifle deer hunt with my Ruger stainless synthetic 77 .300 win. mag. When I have excess mad money (none lately) I go out west for mule deer. Not worth it though.

Used to duck and goose hunt but no more. Sold my 3-1/2" 12 ga. mag. that was brutal to shoot.

Used to bowhunt but got into competitive archery and shot for 20 years. Two Wisconsin state championships, one Great Lakes win, 17th at the National tournament (tied the record on the animal round - perfect score), and shot pro for Bear Archery. Indoor one year had 37 perfect 300 games (60 arrows at 5" bullseye - 20 yards) and averaged 55 out of 60 in 1-1/2" inch "x" ring in center of bullseye. Got sick of it. Always had crowds around me to watch me shoot perfect and too much pressure to do it made it "no fun".

I have to ask... how often did you change your bow?

Probably every other shot.

He had a big pile of bows beside him when he was done shooting.

BIG!! A good buck will weigh 225 lbs. dressed weight and I've seen them commonly at 275 lbs. Now Canada has some REAL big bruisers up in Saskatchewan and Alberta. I couldn't believe the "dog" sized deer in NC when I lived there. You get east and they're bigger since they imported some Wisconsin deer into there a few years ago.

Here's a friend's deer last year on the land we hunt.... Only take big bucks, no spikes or babies. They get to grow up....
