Dale & Thomas Popcorn

Hi folks.

I fell in love with this place after visiting it in New York the day we went to visit Ground Zero.

I cleared my room out the day before yesterday and came across a brochure from aforementioned establishment. As I was reading through it (and drooling!) after consuming a few beverages, it came into my mind that I would love to sample some of this stuff again. Now they only deliver to the U.S., unfortunately, so I thought that perhaps if I got one of these popcorn-loaded containers sent to one of my ST friend's house, they could perhaps forward it on to me here in N.I...having of course paid you for the shipping, etc.

Do any of you think that this would be feasible; ie. would the 'corn still be fresh/fresh-ish ?

Have any of you tried said snack ? What did you think of it ? I was almost gagging for some last night whilst reading through the catalogue..

Man, I won't be able to make it. I have just had to sell all my shares I had to enable me to not quite pay off my overdrafts, and so will have to manage my money for the next while. This will involve not being able to shell out lots of money for luxuries such as holidays and the like.
I thought that I would be able to secure a loan which would enable me to get away on this holiday with you guys, but I got refused by them mainly due to the excessive bank charges I incured.
I am deeply, deeply sorry as I presumed I would get fixed by one of these companies, but last measures have had to be put in place and I have had to sell the only real financial security that I possess.
I would be up for doing a trip like this early in the New Year, if you guys would prefer that ? I mean, we could get the deposits sorted in just a few weeks time, and it might give others the opportunity to participate, also.
Once again, I do apologise,
Andy

Obviously, your personal finances have to take priority. There will be other opportunities for golf in the states.

Best of luck.

And if you want me to buy some popcorn for you and ship it to you, I can do that. PM me with details.

Happy days, man, thanks for being so understanding. I just hate the fact I had it in my mind that I would be fine in a financial way of things to have stated I would go ahead with this trip, then turn round and say I couldn't go.

Something in March time or so would be fantastic if we could perhaps arrange something for then. Perhaps more folk might show interest...or would it be more advisible / better for us if the numbers were limited ??

Will keep ya informed re: the 'corn thing, thanks.

Yeah, I thought it was class. It was easily the best I have tasted and am now of course let down every time I go to watch a movie by the much inferior popcorn there

This flavours on the page below would be what I would be interested in munching..

I hate to say it, but I don't think that popped popcorn would survive the trip overseas. This stuff has to be eaten soon after popping.

If you want to try, I'm happy to help, but I think you would be disappointed, and would feel like you wasted your money.

Maybe you can get a group of investors together and open a franchise in NI?

Haha, I actually enquired about doing it to a fairly wealthy business-type a while ago and he stated it wouldn't work. I think in the right place it might, though.

I fear it not being fresh and must investigate this. They do have large tin buckets which may well keep it fresh enough, although I might suffer in terms of transport costs with that...

I love that popcorn!! I got one of the 12 pack sampler packs as a gift and it was all great. My favorite by far was the Southwest Cheddar Chipolte.

Mny high end popcorn companies will gladly ship overseas... and send your popcorn in a SEALED BAG inside the tin.

If these guys are any good at all, you should be able to order from them, and have your salty deliciousness arrive in relatively perfect shape!

Send me a kernel, will ya?
