Yeah, NYC is ok. (I guess working in this city, you forget about all the nice things we have and take things for granted. For me, it's just LIRR to E train, to office, to desk and then in reverse)

Like VT said, you can take the Mrs to a couple of shows. (Lio King, Mama Mia, Wicked, Avenue Q).

We saw Mamma Mia a few years ago before we had our son. We're talking of going back in Nov. for the Lion King and prob one other if the golf trip falls thru
