Thread: Emergency vacation advice needed!

    Emergency vacation advice needed!

Looks like my wife and I have a 4-5 day window to visit any place in the USA (That Continental Airlines goes to) between October 13th - 17th.

Golf is NOT a requirement...just wanna get away and relax...at an affordable price.

Your recommendations are needed as we will be placing the bookings tomorrow.

    Lets here em guys!

Albuquerque and Santa Fe are beautiful, still warm, and very affordable.

And I'll treat you to some golf, hehe.

There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."

  4. Vegas...'nuff said!

EDIT: Oops, you said relax. What about Savannah, GA? Its a very cool city with plenty of stuff to do including golf, the beach, historical downtown, shopping, etc.

Birmingham, AL Hotel: Renaissance Ross Bridge Birmingham, Alabama Hotel & Resort

This place gets excellent reviews and the spa is great. For a resort, its reasonably priced and there's three RTJ 18 hole championship courses on the premises.....

Continental has non-stops from Newark, Cleveland and Houston....

And the weather during that week is about as good as it gets.

Here's an article from the latest GOLF magazine about playing here.

I'll second the Birmingham suggestion. Great area. Montgomery also good.

San Antonio is also good. River walk great if you never have been.

Jeff is also right about New Mexico. Just a great place. For relaxing Sante Fe or for more bustle Albuquerque.

    Birmingham is really nice.

But, as I said, you won't find too many places cheaper than New Mexico, and it's got just as much to offer.

You are probably retarded, if you don't choose a stay here in San Francisco...

Stay at the Seal Rock Inn, for $120 a night with an ocean view, and a great history behind it...
trying to find a good sig.

Man, you just come across to me like one of those guys who yells something like "Gawwwwwwwd, HOW DID THAT NOT GO IN THE CUP !!?? GIVE ME A BREAK !!", etc., just as someone on an adjacent tee is teeing off. You just strike me as one of those people.

    Have a nice day..

  10. If anywhere in the US includes Hawaii, its a no brainer.

If its lower 48, a lot depends on what your looking for. Beach? Some good deals in Florida (TPA, RSW, FLL) this time of year or San Diego (SAN). Leaves? BTV or MHT. History? BOS. Wine? SFO. Theme Parks? MCO. What are you looking to do?

If you've never been to San Francisco, then that should be high on your list. Awesome city. Side trip to Napa Valley is mandatory. You've got balloon rides and mud baths in Calistoga to melt the stress away.

I was going to say that. I absolutely loved NYC the first time I visited. Great time of year to visit.

I would highly recommend NYC also. It isn't a relaxing place but there is no place else like it.
