Limiting Internet Time

Apparently my GF did not pay our Cable/Interntet bill. I can't connect through my landline and digital cable is out. Oddly I still have cable but looks like some sort of expanded basic. No GolfChannel but I've got most everything else.

I think I'd like to just leave it this way. I've been spending too much time on the internet. I can still connect wirelessly, like I am now. I probably won't be able to get on all the time though. Anyway, if I do leave it like this, I'll be around less on here I guess. It's time I get off the net and do something though, I spend way too much time on here.

Any reason in particular?

Reason for what? Not paying the bill? That's my fault, I spend over 1/3 of my income on golf and another 1/3 on cigarettes and coffee.

Spending less time on the internet? It's all I do for hours on end. I need to get on with my life, lol.

Here I am still though. This connection is solid and fast. I think the girl on the 1st floor must have a wireless router now. This thing has to be really close by to be this quick and solid.

I'll believe it when I see it, and am guessing that will simply mean you will be around more. You will simply be waiting longer for the pages to load.

Personally, the time i spend at home is relaxing watchin TV and screwin around on the computer, but that's because generally most of the day i'm either out on the course or in class/doing hw.

TV/computer are what I use just to chill and relax. But I also spend on avg 3-4 hours a day on the course at least, and the 2 hr walk there and back, once I get a car, then ill have that extra 2 hours to stay on the course

They offered that I could, but I just don't feel comfortable leaving my golf bag somewhere that i've lived for just over a month, rather keep them in my room with me. Probly better odds theyll get stolen outta my room, but I have piece of mind seeing them every time im in the room throughout the day (being literally 3ft from my bed)

Of my bag? Its a ping j bag. its just a normal carry bag that you'd see most jr's playing with.

Full set of clubs, some minor things, and my shoes are usually are what i'm carrying.

I went over to my parents house recently and had my daughter's laptop with me...there were some files on it that I needed to show to someone.

After I fired it up....I found I had wireless connectivity....must have been from a neighbor's house. But these are large lots (for a suburban area). The houses are at least 200 feet apart.

I cruised the internet just fine for half an hour on somebody's connection....

Our city is considering going 'wireless' - putting internet access points on all the telephone poles that have the local cable company's cables connected to them. I think it would be great...free wireless anywhere in the town....
