I just got an email from PayPal asking to add another bank for premium membership. It said an order to Bob Berry could not be processed. Well, I ordered nothing from any Bob Berry, and also on the email it listed my username for PayPal as sssmokin (which of course it isn't and would be stupid). So obviously someone is trying to create a new account using my info from Shot Talk. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm???? Anyway, I was just curious if anyone else has just received a phishing (spelling) email from PayPal. Let's get this SOB.

Also, there was an email address for this "Bob Berry" who couldn't get paid, and when I sent an email to it, of course it was phony.

This all sounds like yet another phishing scam to me. I wonder if the original email request from "Paypal" was legit? I bet not.

I do believe it's the paypal system trying to charge you for a subscription that no longer exists....was it $39.95 by any chance?

I never had the "premium" subscription, and the username after my email address was listed as sssmokin, which was wrong. I didn't save the email or I'd forward it to you, Sling.

What I think happens is that the forum software (where the subscription was originally created) still trys to process an annual payment on the anniversary of the original sign up.

Since I changed the subscription and deleted the old one I thought that would be the end of it but apparently the system stills runs the payment. I have no idea how or why.

Root around in your trash bin and see if you can find that email......I can't do anything at all without it.
