5-8

Prediciting another 5"-8" of snow starting late tomorrow...oh goody!! It was cool for awhile but now it's snowing every other day & I am getting real sick & tired of clearing it all up. I can't recall ever having this amount of snow in a mere 2 months.

I am completely sick of this snow. We got some today. We will get some tomorrow. And the day after. And on and on and on. This is the most snow I have seen for as long as I have been in WI.

One of the forecasters just upped the amount to 7"-10" starting about 6:00pm tomorrow.

Oh man I'm so sick of snow. It snowed so much this year our snow blower broke and yesterday I was out shoveling for an hour, more shoveling to do when I get home today. It really sucks because the more it snows the longer it takes to melt and the longer golf courses delay opening. (Not to be a downer to any of the Wisconsin golfers) I can't wait until global warming takes over and we don't get any snow. I'm racing my quad this weekend, good thing they built an indoor arena here in WI.

It is supposed to get to 80°F today. I can't for the life of me figure out why anyone would live where it snows constantly for 2-3 months. Don't get me wrong I love to going snow skiing and would enjoy spending a winter in Wyoming or Colorado skiing every mountain I could find . But I couldn't call it home.

I may not get hammered that bad up here, saying 4-6" for my area but I have to get up & drive into DeForest at 5:00....roads are going to be bad. Then of course I will also lose my internet connection sometime this afternoon once the snow starts...I have satellite & any snow on the dish screws it up.

except for the fact that we (UK) got Iceland's summer last year, ie shit! Rain and cold for most of the summer months, I got fed up getting soaked playing golf. Global warming to the UK golfer means:

Winter golf = good
Summer golf = shit!

but at least we can play in the rain, so I guess all is not bad.

Ok, the forecasters screwed this one up, we are getting hammered hard. In my village we will probably end up with 10" at least & south east of me there are areas which will end up with 18-20" by the time its's all over. I spent the day at work snowblowing the sidewalks & parts of the parking lot since I really didn't have much else to do. I couldn't keep up as it was coming down & blowing much faster than the machine could move it all. Fedex pulled their drivers off the roads as supposedly did the Dane cty highway department, the plows couldn't see where they were going & were losing ground fast. Lot's of pileups on 1-90 too. Snow may end around midnight or so, until then I give up.

WBL is probably going to be buried for a week.

You nancies ought to try the Northeast one winter. It's not a rare occurance for us to get 2+ feet from a good storm in one night. Less than 20 minutes drive away there can be open grass. I couldn't make it to work one morning (19 miles) because my driveway had 24 inches in it overnight. When I finally got to work the next day, they had barely a dusting. Unbelievable.

Dealt with that crap for 40 years when I lived 2 blocks off Lake Michigan. 2 miles inland there would 1-2" but where I lived we would get that 18"-24" of nice wet lake effect snow. And I couldn't call into work because they never believed me, I would tell them we got 15" of snow & there was literally 3' of snow in my driveway from drifting & work would be like "yea right, get your ass to work slacker".
