Who here has had a Hollywood?

I nearly had the car off the road yesterday listening to the radio!!

The DJ was banging on about "Brazilians" which was referring to a certain waxing procedure carried out by females. The conversation then went onto Hollywoods (bare to the skin!!) UGGGHHHHH!! I have to confess to a certain ignorance here, but no real desire to find out more. My eyes were watering at that point.

But the conversation then took a turn for the worse when they started talking about Men having these treatments!!! Who would put themselves through this torture unless forced to by some medical condition (ie having an op on your ball-bag etc.)? For cosmetic effect? FFS!

Is anyone here at ST metrosexual enough in the new millennium to 'fess up to having this done? Does it help your golf? (...thinking Golf Photo competition )

I'll admit it. I've trimmed for cosmetic reasons. Don't ask me why, I just did. But I'm man enough to own up to it.

However, I've never had a stylist do it for me. That's somewhat strange. There's a name for it? A Hollywood? WTF is that?

Now, I'll just await the flood of comments and cat-calls, and cry in the corner......

I'm guessing this is a recent development so you'd have some chance at appearing "Over Shafted"....I'm also guessing it didn't help!

Do you feel more aerodynamic?

Women pay big money to get this done? My head is still shaking in disbelief.

I have done it, but never paid anyone to do it. Just like shaving your beard, only lower.

From a skit by Rodney Carrington, is it true that once you start you cant stop because it causes an itch that 10grit sandpaper cannot cure?

To the guy that said that would get expensive, she only does it when we go on vacation in florida as then she doesnt have to shave it for like two weeks...no chance of razor burn for the vacation.

Ive been told im pretty metrosexual by my female friends. I admit I have done the complete shave as an experimental thing along time ago and as someone mentioned it itches like a beeeetch. I just keep it maintained now. I think its a pretty common thing these days.

I agree. It's unfair to expect a girl to trim her own hedges, then deal with your jungle. Maintenance is a sign of respect

Its not as bad as some people make it out to be, but it also could be up to the inividual. I have a fairly high pain tolerance (used to be a catcher in baseball and a goaltender in hockey) so some minor itching does not really bother me too much. If you have sensitive skin, it may be more of an issue.

I always do maintenance, and I will admit to going all bald twice, during the summer. Keeps the boys cooler, but it really itches for a couple days when it comes back in. Waxing sounds really painful, yikes. Some guys must really hate their toolbox to do that.
