Translation from Tenneseeish

"He done fell out, done the hokey-pokey, 'cuz he didn't take his peanut butter ball."

Translation:

"He had a seizure and fell over, because he didn't take his phenobarbitol."

Seriously, people, our country is in deep doo-doo.

Do you know the difference between a BMW and a porcupine? The porcupine has its' pricks on the outside.

I'm from TN and I can assure you that I do not talk that way, nor have I ever heard anyone say that. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of people that talk like that, but I've never heard a phrase like that one.

Don't take it personally. We have people right here in Georgia who speak worse than that. It just happened that this particular one was from Tennessee.

When I lived in NC most spoke pretty clear and the drawl was not a problem. But a couple guys I couldn't understand at all (similar to the above) and I had to get an "interpreter"... Matter of fact, the other NC guys had to get that interpreter

I'm not taking it personally, I'm just saying everyone isn't like that. But believe me, if there is any question about whether or not some people don't have any sense around here all you have to do is hop on a bicycle and ride around a bit. My brother rides 4K-5K miles a year on his bike, and he's had half-full bottles thrown at him, people swerving like they're going to run over him (with him riding on a 10' shoulder), and just about anything else you can think of. People like that gives everyone else a bad name.

Oh, that happens here as well. A few years ago, 4 of us were riding single file on a city street, that was 2 lanes wide in each direction, on a nice Sunday afternoon, so there was only light traffic.

Suddenly, a land yacht came up behind us, driver blowing her horn madly, and ran us all off the road into the gutter.

I got her plate number and called my cousin, the police lieutenant, who looked her up and sent a patrol car over to have a little talk to her.

Seriously, she told the police officer that she ran us off the road because we were supposed to be on the sidewalk, and she wanted to teach us a lesson.

DUH!!!
