It's a SAD day

Selling my Harley. After years of enjoyment, the old bod can't take it anymore.............so selling my good friend, my 97' Road King. Only has 17,800 miles on it. Shooting for retirement in a year, so need to get rid of pesky little bills, so that was also a factor. I'll just find an old Vette to screw around with in my golden years (golden years..........sh****t.)

See, now that's a hot harley.

I'm not a big fan at all, like we've discussed before, but that one looks really nice.

What kind of Vette are you looking at? I'm not sure that'll solve your
peske bill problem though.

R U kidding me? I can't believe you're getting rid of her. Surely you can find something else to get rid of. I like to think that will be the very last thing that I get rid of at retirement time. Oh well. Good luck. I'm sure you've had some great times on her. Low mileage, sure hope it sells quick for you. In this market today, bikes aren't selling very quickly, especially high dollar bikes.

It depends. Location, condition, person selling it etc...Could probably get anywhere from 7k-10k, but that's just a guess.

I'm not letting it go for a penny under $9,500. If it doesn't sell, it doesn't sell. Not desperate or anything. All my friends like to take longer rides, and my back won't allow that...............had a good friend that we rode with alot killed in a stupid accident 2 years ago............really miss riding with him. Alot of factors entered into this decision.

That's a damn shame that your body won't let you ride with your buddies. Those memories are awesome. Also glad you don't "have" to sell it to get along in retirement. Hope it all works out for ya. Ride safe.

Wife says she is never selling her Harley, I just put a shitload more $$ into during the last month. New 80 spoke rims, chromed pulley, Black widow pegs, etc, etc.

Funny you mention selling yours though, just had this talk with the wife last night about how a lot of people from our old HOG chapter start getting into their mid 60's or so & they sell off the HD & pick up either a Bimmer or a Goldwing.

What kinda bike is the O.L. riding? Sounds nice. Mine is riding an 05 Dyna Low Rider for now. She wants a Softail Deluxe for her 40th B-day coming up. Oh well, she'll prolly get it.

96 Dyna Wideglide. Got rid of the mini apes & added drag bars, Choppers inc .44 mag grips, blah blah blah. Looking to pick up a set of Paul Yaffe Crack pipes for it this year.
