What the US can't do

Despite how hard you try, Larry Sanders being the odd exception, you can't produce comedy, or decent bands, take a look at this small exmple of pure comedy genius, mixed with rock gods.

I am a big time Moterhead fan. Lemmy is the anti pretty boy rock star in every way possible. I like in that video during the guitar solo how they keep showing a close up the rhythm guitarist.

Disagree. The "OLD" Saturday Night Live (definitely not the new) with Ackroyd, Belushi etc was the funniest show ever created. And we gave you "Elvis" who started the whole Rock and Roll thing. Beach Boys, Mamas and Papas, Janice Joplin, Eagles etc etc. Of course all that has gone to pot now with hip hop crap and cartoon comedy shows...

Seinfeld is probably objectively the best modern sitcom ever made, especially from an American standpoint.

However, some of the best bands to date have come out of here. Sadly, though, we just can't touch bands like The Beetles, Queen, and Led Zeppelin.

I've seen Motorhead several times live, Lemmy is a legend

I notice not one of you has 'got' the humour in the Young Ones.

I would have to agree, and have always been fond of the fact that Comedy, Bands and planning go hand in hand. This is my favorite example.

edit 1 - Thanks dave, for reminding me that I haven't watch Spinal Tap in a few years, I need to do so in the next week.

edit 2 - gotta show another for those who haven't seen

Well thanks to this thread I have been listening to Moterhead all day. I must have put on Ace of Spades 10 times. God I love that tune.
