Investment Plan...

There has been alot of talk about investments and bad investments and etc on the board today...i found this on another forum and thought i would share with you a well thought out investment tecnique

If you had purchased $1000.00 of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00.

With Enron, you would have had $16.50 left of the original $1000.00.

With WorldCom, you would have had less than $5.00 left.

If you had purchased $1000 of Delta Air Lines stock you would have $49.00 left.

But, if you had purchased $1,000.00 worth of beer one year ago, drank all the beer, then turned in the cans for the aluminum recycling, you
would have had $214.00.

So, based on the above, the best current investment advice is to drink-up and recycle!!!

It's called the 401-Keg Plan.

not to nit pick but if you bought 1000 dollars of DAL (Delta only floated last may) you have about 406 ...nortel 295..

If only I hadn't squandered the cans.

BTW, in PA with the price of beer, the cans would likely only bring about $60. With my beer, only about $30. That assuming I want to spend about $100 in gas to go to a state that would take them for return at 5 cents a can.

You could go to Michigan and get 10¢ a can for them.

Every time I go back to visit my relatives there I am always blown away by the deposit when you buy beer or soda (coming from KS a state with no deposit at all).

Drink more beer or dig some cans out of the dumpster.
