REBATE CHECKS

Recently, the Administration said each one of us would get $300. It was supposed to be $600 but they dropped it to a $300 tax rebate...There are other amounts depending on individual circumstances. ....

HOWEVER If we spend that money at Wal-Mart, all the money will go to China. If we spend it on gasoline it will all go to the Arabs, and neither will help the American economy.

We need to keep that money here in America, so the only way I can see to keep that money here at home is to buy beer, spend it on prostitution, or play golf since those are the only American businesses still in the U.S.! Your cooperation will be appreciated.

well - i think this is typical US genius.

I mean - the whole reason we got into this mess is the american consumer borrowing too much, to spend on stuff. Now the government is handing out even more cash, to go spend on more stuff??

wtf

Let's see...

It's your money to begin with, paid to the government in taxes.

You send it to them.

They spend it.

Then they decide to "give it back".

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense.

They'll get it back through taxes anyway, nothing is free. I very frustrated as well as EVERY ONE I know with the government.

Well I got my check last night and Im itching to spend it. I know it sounds childish but there are so many things I want.

1) clicgear 08 orange push cart
2) Adidas Powerband Sport orange/white or ecco casual cool gtx with orange stripe
3) Got the nike 5000 so now ft-5 or nike 5900
4) cg red's or mx-25's both TLT'd.
5) Bushnell Tour V2 orange

So much stuff and I have the rebate check and a hefty pay-pal balance I have from some recent ho'ing so I gotta make it stretch as far as possible.

Oddly enough, I'm going to use mine to pay my tax accountant. I just got the bill for preparing my income taxes this year and it was $570. Coincidence? I think not!

(I guess I'll have just about enough leftover to play one round of golf. )
