nice to be appreicated

my brother in law and i work for the same company(hes my manager).anyway he has 10 yrs in with the company on the 5th so they call him from the office and tell him to call when his package arrives.(other then the president of the company he has been there the longest)

we were joking that i got a coffee mug for 5 yrs. so he must be getting 2.which was kinda a step down from the very nice clock you get for 3 yrs of service but its a nice thought.anyway to get back on track he gets in the truck this morning and says "i got a watch for my 10 yrs." he shows me the watch very nice looking.so we start talking about it its a Citizen Echo Drive Titanium Water Res to 100ft.

i told him i dont know much about watches but i have heard of Citizen and they are supposed to be a quality watch.he said he figured $100-$200 for the watch.i told him with the name and being Titanium i wouldnt doubt it was over $200.

so 5 more yrs and i get a watch i hope.although i might not he didnt get a coffee cup for his 5th yr.

That's pretty cool!

I got news for you though; a Ti Citizen Eco-drive will run you AT LEAST 2 bills and closer to 4 or 5.

And all I get is spit on, cussed at, assaulted and evrything else that comes with the job. Oh well. Enjoy it. I have an ECO Drive titanium watch. I think I paid about $350 around five years ago. It has been a great watch. No battery needed. Charges by sunlight and artificial light.

My dad works for a railroad company and they give you a solid gold pin every 5 years with a jewel and the company logo on it

5years: 1 ruby
10years: 2 ruby's
15years: 1 diamond
20years: 2 diamonds
25years: 1 large diamond and he got a really nice watch...ill have to ask him what exactly it is

Its nice when an employer shows their appreciation...i wonder what my company does for employee's anneversaries...i have only been there about 7 months so i havent figured it out yet

Citizen makes great watches! I have an echo drive chrono that I've had for almost 10 years now. Paid somewhere around $400 for it back in the day.

We have Farm & Fleet in Madison & Fleet Farm in Beaver Dam, I think Fleet Farm is a lot better.
